  1. I went Phil, we were heading for the ponderosa cafe on the horseshoe pass, never seen so many bikes ever we were going absolutely nowhere...nobody was! Gave up in the end and rode to Bala had some lunch and went for a ride to and around lake Vrnwy. A magnificent turnout, bikes absolutely everywhere. :D

Sounded like a great day out, never been to the ponderosa cafe myself but one day I hope to go. I would have loved to go just to see such a big turn out of bikers.

    Thanks Phil.

  2. Hi biglis, when my 2yrs were up i just went out and got me a bigger bike. If you are a little worried about it being legal and all that no harm in giving them a ring for piece of mind.

  3. Hope talkin about another bike wont get me in trouble :(

heya peeps me and my friend was out in the country side after finally fixing his vivacity 50(needed a flasher and battery relay and immobilizer was naffed) well we was out say to minuites before his engines sounded like it was crunching :o well.... we both wheeled our bikes home his moped and my yamaha ybr (6 miles) and found the electric start popped of and was gettin in the way of the variator put it back on and titend everything up.

When we did it we decided to take the variator of to see if there was any washer restrictors ? it looks like theres two ? one attualy in the variator itself and 1 behind it a little one but dont know which one it is just need a bit of and idea of which and even if they are restrictors we have a technigas racing exhaust on aswell but not gettin more the 35-40mph out of it any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks SkiDennis

Six or seven years ago I had a Vivacity 50cc, and if I remember right when I had it d- restricted they took the washer out and also cut off part of the exhaust underneath where a pipe of about six inches stuck out. After having that done I got about 55 mph top end.

  4. Just posting a update on my fazer, I have removed the tank cover and relocated the Stebel air horn behind the faring

had to much trouble with the heavy rain getting inside. No probs with it now dry as a bone.

  5. Hi everyone. i just bot a fz6. was wonder whether the headlight is both on when low beam or one on when low beam.only 1 of my headlight is on when low beam. both will be on only when its on high beam.

Hi mate, yip that's how it works seems a bit daft to me but there you go. There is a wiring kit available which allows you to get both lights on at the same time on low beam. Try to Google it should get you a result.

  6. Can someone recommend a good tyre for my fz6, its due a change soon but so many to choose from, not sure what to go for? something with more grip than mileage.. any pointers? cheers

Got these tyres on my fazer, Bridgestone BT - 021s highly recommend them.

  7. mind me asking where you bought your exhausts?

Hi mate, yip I got the exhausts from more speed racing. This was part of the e-mail which they sent me prices may have changed since then thou.

  8. Hi mart, got these tyres on my fazer ( BT - 021 ) highly recommend them.

Taken this from the Bridgestone web site have a read to see what you think.....

Having set performance standards worldwide with the renowned sport touring BT-020 (NT), Bridgestone has now gone one better. Its successor, the new Battlax BT-021, is a true luxury sport tyre, with confident front-end feel, high stability both on motorways and winding roads, strong grip on wet and dry, and plenty of shock absorption for comfortable long journeys. It beats BT-020 performance on all major criteria, including higher mileage in all riding modes.

The BT-021 is Bridgestone’s first line of products to use MSB (Mono Spiral Belt) on both front and rear tyres. With optimal stiffness provided by the HTSPC (High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord), this MSB construction raises stability and shock absorption to the highest levels.

The distinctive new slash pattern design with wide crossing centre grooves on the front tyre gives top-quality handling and steer precision. Mileage tests also show significantly higher resistance to irregular wear than the BT-020 tyre it replaces.

The rear tyre SACT (Straight and Cornering Technology) tread construction with Cap & Base technology and dual compound tread provides plenty of cornering control from the high-grip shoulder compound, while the firmer centreline and base layer produce the necessary tread stiffness for improved traction and mileage. Stability and cushioning are enhanced by a newly-developed outside bead filler in the soft two-ply construction. For the rear pattern design, a low negative ratio in the centre puts more rubber on the road, adding mileage and durability while reducing pattern noise from air bumping.

The new Battlax BT-021 is designed to provide a wide range of heavier sport touring motorcycles, from 600 cc to 1200 cc, with the highest possible levels of comfort at speed and an exciting feel through corners off the highway, in all conditions. Available in 5 front-wheel sizes and 7 rear-wheel sizes from January 2007, it will steadily replace the current Battlax BT-020.
