Hey guys,

Well i managed to get to do some stuff to the bike tonight but only put my fork gaiters on but still a big job, i also popped on some big heat shrink to get shot of more chrome and also it will help to protect the forks to weather.

here are some pics

The yokes will be powder coated matt black this winter to keep with the theme. Next up is the fender stays and i may add a old skool mini wire sissy bar???? Not sure yet tho, bit more photoshop to make my mind up

I'm right under Ham Hill in Stoke. I fix them annoying noisy things that constantly plague the skies of Yeovil and surrounding areas for the Navy!

Hey mate Not 100% im gunna be able to make it as im trying to get these ba*tard fender stays fabbed up but prooving to be a pain in the arse! i do have some 4mm think ally so i could make up a set of tempory ones just for this meet but i will message you on here at 1900hrs tonight to conferm if i am or not.

Over fuel it. up rate the jets etc then you should get flames. My mates Buell shoots flames a lot on the back fire but it is making 185bhp at the crank! lol

I see the same moped rider on way home from work every day rain or shine 'n' he/she (not quiet sure lol) has only just started nodding back. I think its common curtousy to achknoledge there presence on the road as they are the future generation of bikers and they must be scared enought riding those things with Mr billy boy wanker up there arse not to mention when i pop past them with the straight pipes on lol

Harley Riders are just always Pissy as they just spent the last 7 hours polishing the chrome and getting the bike to start, Where as the power rangers have got to get no where as fast as possible lol

Hi Guys,

Well not sure if you have heard but Mr government and PC Plod are planning to stop us from modifing our bikes, i dont just mean us that completely change the bike but you wont even be able to put different tyres on it! if they are built with Bridgestones then you can not change them to any thing else (so i have heard)

If you are up for a meet and a good old british protest (no rioting tho) then if your a southener or willing to travel to Podimore roundabout services on the A303 (Podimore Roundabout, Yeovilton, Somerset BA22 8, United Kingdom) then your more than welcome. I will update with a time but its this Sunday 25th Sept 2011.

Pop up a reply if your interested then im sure we can meet up some where on the A303 and have a convoy down?

Well its been a while and the fender needs re-doing as numb nuts here chipped the paint right down to the primer! (yay!) :'( but this is gunna wait till she is off the road, i need a new number plate as that is now all over the A303 lol

I need to make up some better fender stays as the ones i have on there now are a tempery job and the holes are starting to elongate and the fender is jumping around. So with a bit of luck i can get these sorted ready for this week end as there is a rall / protest up at podimore round about on the A303 about the cops / government stopping us from modifying our bikes.

Thanks for the replies, i have clear coated it today n just waiting for it to dry and cure, i have two of those zit looking reflectors in the shead so i will wack one on the number plate so Mr MOT man and PC plod is happy.

Hi Guys! well its been a while but i been busy with the old wet and dry and primer! its gotta be the most boring teadious frustrating thing to do on a bike! but the end result is well worth it!

All that is left to do is to sort out some conectors for the wires to connect to the main wiring loom and sort out the brackets for my seat, fit my fork gaiters and re-paint my fuel tank.

well here are some pics of the fender start to finish.

I have a little orange peel on the top layer but thats nothing a little 2000grit cant solve. All comments truly welcome.

What sort of finish is this "plastikote BBQ paint from Wilkinsons stores " like? is it a Matt or a satin finish?

I done my DAS course (direct access) its over the week end, Sat Sun, Mon training then test on the tuesday. Thats how i done mine but different instructors may do it differently.

The training isn't to teach you how to ride a bike as they done that on your CBT all they are doing is ironing out the bad points of your riding (we all have them) and practicing for your tests. I would say do the direct access way as i no, no other way but im sure there is some one on here that has gone a different path and could give you there view of it.

Noise just skimmed the topic and you said you were powder coating the exhausts...forget it mate it wont take the heat, if you want black then buy plasticote BBQ paint from Wilkinsons stores

Hey Mate, not there is a powder coat out there that can take the heat the only thing is that its from Sweeden and hard to come by, my Step dad used this on his 1988 Harley sporster's exhaust and i think the powder coater did say it is for BBQ's and could try it on the exhaust to see how it gose (got it done for free bar the powder lol) and its as good as the day it was done.

What is this plasticote BBQ paint from Wilkinsons like finish wise?

Thanks Dave, im almost done with this fucking fender! id say give me another week or two and it "should" be finished but still got a few brackets to make so i can fit the seat and front indicators, then ive decided to rivnut the fender on that way its easier to remove so i can change the wheel etc better and clean the swing arm.

Thanks its taking a while as im between doing the bike and looking after my 4 month old daughter but its getting there. Still got a lot of work to be done on the fender as one side of the filler is slightly higher than the other but it will get there.

I had a test fit of the fender and seat yesterday and she looked great!, (no pics tho sorry) the seat hight is fantastic, nice and low, all thats left to do now is make a braket for the seta to be fitted, front indicator bracket, finish fender ready for paint, take off fuel tank, strip then paint then see whats left in the bank for my springer front end if not that will come next year.

Hi guys well its been a little while since i was last on here just been little busy with the fender and my baby daughter.

Well i finally got my single seat through from Chicargo only took 2 weeks! got snapped by import charges tho but hey ho, the springs i got wont fit as the mountin point on the frame is further forward that the mountin points on the seat so im just gunna mount it straight to the bike frame as the bike has got a mono shock so no point in adding more springs.

As i said at the start ive done a bit more to the fender and its coming along nicely, needs a bit more work buts so is life. I trimmed round the light and got my mate to weld a plate round and then i got out the old angle grinder to get rid of the lumps and bumps. Once i was happy with that it was out with the filler to blend the light into the fender, so now all thats left to do is more wet and dry sanding followed by primmer and paint.

Just got a set of small black bar end mirrors so i no longer see elbow just the road behind. Well i will now let the pictures do some talking.

Well i will keep on with the old wet and dry and im hoping to get this on in the next few weeks.
