Hay Guys well im thinking of a ride out down to Lulworth cove Some time in March if any of you guys wanna join? going to go Via Dorchester, Then the back way in to Bovington Garrison Past the Knife edge and tank museum then past through Wareham train station then onto Lulworth cove. Few nice pubs along the way and the chip shop down Lulworth is pretty darn good.
So any one up for it?

Hi Martin, Welcome to the site.
Well what a numpty you been hey!? but not to worry too much it can be solved. So im guessing from your question is that you want to remover the engine for better access to the drama area? removing the engine isnt as hard as it seams (check out my bobber project in the projects section)
Its easier if you remove both wheels and the forks. Off the top of my head it goes like this.
Remove fuel tank,
Remove air filter,
Remove plastic covers on the top of engine (pain in the ass)
Remove Rear coil (makes more room)
Un plug every wire (mark them up with tape)
Un-bolt the engine (this is why you have wheel and forks off as the engine wont rest on the frame)
Remove the engine from the right hand side of the frame with the prop shaft coupling furthest away from you. Start by tilting the engine towards you and lead with the front cylinder then tilt more towards you as you get it further out of the frame.
That should be the engine out.
Again this is off the top of my head as i'm at work and the bikes at home so i hope this is of some help.
Give us a shout if you brake any thing else (ha-ha)

+1 with TaskMaster, Just use my Vid as a "rough" guide and just go with how you think sounds like the right speed. mine has gone a tad slower due to my pissing about the the main jets etc but not much slower.
Also remember that the 1st Video it was on choke so it was bit fast.
-
Try these, This is my BIke with straight through pipes.
The first Video is with quarter choke and the second is with out. I have tinkered with the Main jets and Pilot jets now but if you want i can re-do a few more videos if this will help?

Absolute brilliance! but these days are too politically correct, sad times

Well A few bits need to be done the the bike again due to the missus driving her car into it, i need another Number plate bracket as its now all over the M27 in a ditch also i need another number plate light as it was ripped off along with the bracket which blew a fuse and killed all my lights. Luckly it didnt catch my wheel nor did it course a crash THANKFULLY
Carbs now have a set of 122.5 main jets in thanks to Wemoto.com, and i have played with the pilot jets and tick over so she is running better now. Still got some more tinkering to do with the carbs to get her spot on but now the weather is on the up i can spend some time on them.
Next on the list is to get some exhaust wrap on the pipes as i keep burning my leg on the rear pipe, and im looking at a nice up rated front brake disc.

Hi Bertie,
Welcome to the site, that bike too gave me some inspiration for my 650 bobber Check out my bobber project in the "projects" section of the site.
All the best.

Think what he means by 23mph in 5th at idle is when he rolls off the throttle the bike dosen't slow down any less than 23mph......... i had this with my bike, coming up to a junction/ round about in 2nd rolled off the throttle and the bike just carried on going lol pretty much poo'd my self but i just turned down the idle and problem solved.

Hoo-rah, congrats!
What was the question/what did you think he said?
Where do you put the key to start the bike? lol
-
Oooo, um im not sure, i didnt know there was any thing going on to be truthful. Im off down Southampton tomorrow to help my Bro re-paint his new house and will be back tomorrow night so i will beg the missus to let me out to play Sunday as well.
Do you know the timings at all and the location of the meet up at Shepton?

Gone to go and make my self a brew at work.........and the kettle is fucking broke!
Heads will roll.............heads will most definatly roll!
I couldnt care if any thing else at work got broke but WHY the kettle? whats the kettle ever done to desurve this? it dose its job stu-perbly with out ever moaning about it, gets on with making every one happy as they can sit and wait knowing that the kettle is preparing their brew with care and effection.
BUT NO! some dirty grotty low life scum has to come over and neglect the poor little thing.
RIP kettle, you done me proud.

I remember that my XVS 125 had 120 before resurve and an extra 20 on resurve but i didn't risk more than 20 on resurve as i didnt wanna be bum loved in a dark field waiting for Mr RAC to bring me more fuel lol.

Hey Guys and Gals,
Has any of you put a Power commander on ye ol' Draggy? Ive seen these that im thinking of getting in the near future (all of them bar the clutch springs and the supercharger) to drag out a few more ponies out the old girl but was wondering if you guys or gals have done this mod? maybe you've done it with a different bike?
Ta for now.
