If i was to get a Harley i would either have a Shovel head Dyna or if i was rich id get an old WW2 WLM and bob it! check out Billy Lanes WLM bobber! so basic yet its every thing a bike should ever need!

Well here is an example on how i mean, (i got the idea when i was a member of the MR2 owners group)

Just click on the type of MR2 you had and it then goes into sub sections eg Engine, wheels etc and then into more sub sections for all the common probs people have had and how they have sorted it out the good old DIY way.
Well im not sure where to go from here now? lol................. Any ideas?

Have you checked the bulb? simple thing really but normally one thats over looked.
(Not trying to say you a thick shit)

Save up as much as poss as Harleys are not cheap. (to buy or to maintain) Expect it to be temperamental as well

Hey guys,
Just a thought, Do you think we could or if its a good idea to have a "How to" section of the forum? Like a written out DIY list of how to do things to the bikes? EG how to remove the fuel tank from a Draggy etc.
I mean it will save people having to write the same old thing all the time and just gives peeps soming thing to print out and could show short cuts or things that we have learned thats not in a manwell!?
Just a thought?

They sell the fuel pump £100 or a fuel pump repair kit! £23
O and its a pain in the arse to get out, fuel tank off, carbs off, air filter off, plastic covers over the ignition barrel off, un plug front cylinder HT lead, un do bolts holding the fuel pump cradle, then slide it out through the top of the frame. Jobs a bobby!

I got a set of Bar end ones that i modified to fit where the mirrors should go. Check out black betty in this section (gallery)
As for the badges, yer they are just stuck on and is many was to take them off, the way i did it was to get some fishing line and ran it behind the badge the removed the foam sticky stuff with meth spirits. You could also steal the wife's hair dryer and warm it up first then is will pull off easier.
O and one more thing.....................Get shot of the pillion pegs too.....looks like you wont be needing them

Looking a lot better mate! personally id get shot of them wing mirrors for a small over taking mirror and de-badge her as well.

Harley's are a good bike (not great) word of warning, your either spend your week end polishing the chrome or fixing the faults with them, but when you get the chance to ride it on its good day your love it!
Its a tinkering bike.

If an exhaust says "not for road use" on it then its basically not for road use.....(funny that)........but if an exhaust DONT say this then.............well its must be for road use
So go out and get a set you like that you can afford, ive not had any probs with my pipes yet and they come with a free hearing check every week lol

ECU? Do I even have one on the Dragstar?
Well there is a little black box in where the battery is which could be a type of ECU? i "think" all these new EU laws that have been proposed is only effecting brand new bike as of when that EU law comes in (if it does) so think the bikes before that date are exempt. (again thats an "I THINK")
also i know that the gov are planning or have approved that all cars and bikes over 20 years old no longer need an MOT

Thats proper shit Kev! i think they should make it legal so that if you catch the person hows fucked over your life and can prove it then YOU can punish them in any way you like.......saves on police then dont it and we can get proper justice!
I left my windows open one day when i went to town (Yeovil) and some little fucker stole my Tic Tacs! really pissed me off that!
