  1. I got pulled over lately. TBH i was slightly speeding. a couple of boy's got out of the unmarked car and proceeded to question me (interrogate). Obviously my substantial Irish charm won out and they let me off with the speeding. ( they didn't have proof). But what i did get out of them is that they try to stop bikes more because of drug trafficking. According to the boys a not of drugs are transported in backpacks on bikes.

So when they see a biker with a backpack they automatically assume ur transporting the wacky backi or whatever.

  2. Its definitely the wettest summer I've seen. i'm sick of getting wet all the time. somebody should tell that big golden ball in the sky that we deserve a little heat now and again.

Back at home i have to wash the bike every week because its manky come Friday. i'm one of those guys who likes to keep his bike clean. i paid alot of money for it and she gets me to work every day.

Its the least i can do for her!!

  3. Hey all....

Im currently in California at the moment training for work.

the weather here is seriously hot.... but my god its like biking heaven. the locals here say that the winter weather is like our summer but with no rain.

The bikes out here are something else... mainly all I've seen are tractors but they are all immaculate. few sports bikes but not much.

Moral of the story.... mother nature is ripping us off in Ireland & the UK.

  4. I agree,, but apparantly its the law or something.:eusa_doh: But seriously i think the bike is more dangerous restricted. I've been restricted since march and have another year and a half to go , really cant see myself sticking with it.

  5. Hey All,

Fraid i've moved on from the Yamaha

Came across this suzuki GSR600, 2007 and only 9600 klms on it. Full powered and also have the restrictor ECU with it.

Stored in a garage at all time's and only driven in dry weather. The guy that had it took my bike against it so he can ride whenever he feels the urge.

I just could'nt pass it up. Piccy.

I may have changed the bike but i've grown attached to this forum so if ye'll have me i'll stick around. There's a few yammies out there i still have my eye on.

  6. That's a real nice looking bike. well wear. here's to having some nice weather. I got caught in a shower yesterday that was so heavy the rain came down the inside of my visor.

  7. Here in Ireland you can take the test on a restricted bike or anything under 33bhp. kearnsy, €275 sounds about right. you won't get it much cheaper than that, especially with the f1 cert. all the insurance comp recognise it.

  8. I had an off nearly 20 years ago now. like cynic i was only doing about 30mph. i was wearing a helmet and good gloves, jeans and hoodie. i broke my hand and got some serious road rash on legs and back. this was enough to put me off bikes for the next 15 years. thankfully i came back a couple of years ago.

i would never ever go out again without all the gear on.

  9. Hey all, thinking about getting a t-shirt,, any reports from someone with the t-shirt>>> Are they cool or wha??

Funds are low at the mo so don't wanna be splashing the cash unless i'll be happy with it. Anyone willing to model their t-shirt ( in an un-gay fashion) paardon the pun :eusa_doh:

    cheers
