Can anyone tell me where my timing chain needs to be on my Yamaha xvs250 dragstar 2003, or where I could find the answer. I have already tried owners and service manual and no help there. thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I have a Yamaha xvs 250 drag star 2003. I was riding it one day and then suddenly oil started spewing out of the air filter and it cut off. When we had a look, there was a lot of oil in the air filter and and it seemed that the oil was coming through the crankcase breather hose up through the carb, (even though there seemed to be no oil in the carb). We noticed that it did not happen when it was turning over on idle but rather when we tried to ride it and a build up of pressure occurred. Can anyone help? Any possible solutions or should i just take it to a garage. Thanks in advance

hi guys, i'm new to this site, i've just bought a XVS250 dragstar 03 and i was just wandering if an XVS 650 tank would fit it as a replacement for mine ,as this is the only one ive seen, any comments or thoughts much appreciated, thanks. daniel
