  1. Seized chain link?, can easily be seen as a kink when between the sprockets

I would go with oldgitonabike, it does sound like a link on the chain and what you hear and feel is the link rising on the rear sproket and then slipping on the teeth back down onto the sproket. Had the same thing on a ZZR a while back, maybe remove the chain a leave it in hot oil for a while.

  2. Cool tank, don't know anything about it, but I'd never have guessed that the picture of the custom tank was the same bike as the FJ in the next picture.

Cheers, not the best looking FJ out there but she's tax'ed and tested and I must admit ride very well, loads of usable power and comfortable :)

  3. It's is Feckin funny and thats for sure.

I liked the bit when the daughter comes in and says "Mommy, Dermot says you won't listen to him"

Mrs Brown says Don't be silly .... when Dermot calls out Mom Mom..... will you shut the fuck up

  4. Hello all, I've just bought myself a cheap run around, it has a custom paint job on the tank.... someone has painted by hand a beautiful lady on the tank of this Yamaha FJ1200 1993.

Does anyone know who may have done it (Long shot I know) and has it ever been owned by someone here on the forum.

  5. Hello Good people of the forum............I'm back ;)

Been away from the forum for some time and just want to say hello to all.

Hi to Rdly, Yamahead, Mervin and the boss Alex if he's around

Back on two wheels in the form of a FJ1200 (1993)

  6. For that price I would expect Pirelli to include this years calender and at least one of the girls modelling it

You would think they would include something worth looking at? I still trying to recover from the £999 price tag on the web. I'm having Bridgestones fitted today for a much better price of £152.

  7. Alex found his local ATS will do em for £140 fitted now and £152 for bridgestones he told us on the RD forum

    Merv

Indeed Mervin, ATS fitting them tomorrow, just off now to take the wheels off the bike as they wont remove anymore, Health and F*cking safety, we ride bloody bikes, health and safety goes out the window every time we go out on the road because of knob car drivers

  8. Right, just made a phone call to a company up north and a pair of Avon Roadrunners are £130 including delivery? So are Avon any good, seeing as I ride an old XJ900 will they be ok for my Knee down stlye of riding

Sorry, went a bit stupid there  ..........are they ok tyres for every day steady riding.

    Cheers

  9. OK, found what I was looking for Front £83.50 Rear £95.50, Money I could do without spending right now?

Any one know of another good brand to put on the old beast.

    Cheers

  10. Can any one recommend a good place in Kent / Sussex area for tyres as some F*CK HEAD has slashed my front tyre  Running Pirelli's at the moment but looking on the web they want £999 for both (Yeah like F*ck)

100/90-18 front and 120/90-18 rear, any help welcome. I'm getting both done as rear looks like it will need replacing soon anyway.

    THANK YOU

  11. You can take foamy out of the wild, but you can't take th-

... hey, i wonder whats happening outside

I see that Mildly Foamy has the attention span of a ..........................HEY!, what is happening outside  Move over so I can see :huh: No fair I can't see............Now where was I  Nope! mind has gone blank.

  12. Your not the only one fed up with the changable weather  all day long the sun shines and then 5 O'clock comes round and Wooooooo Bloody Hooooo it's raining

I want to ride my motorbike............I want to ride my bike..............I want to ride my bloody motorbike.............I want to ride it where I like.............but I can't because it's bloody raining <_<

  13. my mate here has to brush them out when he gets home  some of them still alive :lol::blink:

    I think I'll keep to a full face lid and clean shaven too as I wouldn't want any LITTLE (B u z z z z z z) surprises when I got home

  14. Ah I see, shades............and the other word................SLOWER? whats that then when it's at home? Sloooooooweeer nah not sure what that means?

  15. Now I'm not putting trike riders down as we all have our preferences............but <_<

I'll start the story here.........I was driving my car down the road (as you do) and I was behind a trike, rider just had geans and T-shirt on, NO LID and this go me thinking (always a 1st I know) When out on my bike I often get smacked in the head by the odd passing BEE and at speed you really feel it through the lid and of course hear the THUMP as it strikes the LID.

Now 99% of the time it hits the visor and this got me thinking....................just how much must it hurt at 60 mph when riding a trike with no lid on as you pass a field full of rape seed, bee's and other flying bugs popping in and out collecting pollen?

That’s it really, just wandering really, must really hurt if it's the eye ball it's smacking into  .

OK, random moment over with now.............get on with your lives and ignore me

  16. I just wanted to say a big thankyou for your help with the tyre pressure on my XJ900, I would have said thanks a while back but due to the kidneys stones giving me grief I have only got round to doing it yesterday, I managed to take the bike for a short spin (30 miles :) ).......................so

    THANK YOU
