[R1 2004 colour change]

Hi, I got the same bike, same colour, the wheels are a bit boring arent they.

I have just fitted red pinstripes, looks bloody brilliant for £6.

A bike tuner told me never to powder coat my wheels as he saw a wheel lose a 4" chunk of rim, yamaha UK told him it was down to the heat treatment the wheel went through!!

I'm thinking of spraying the wheel centres red to match the bike now; do you have the paint number?

Thinking about doing this myself, have you got a piccy of the finished article?

Hello there people, the name's Dave and last week I picked up my rather spanking Lava red (best colour!) R1. Previous bike was an SRAD 600 GSXR, and I'm amazed at how easy the R1 is to ride!

The only thing bugging me about it is the low screen ( I'm 6' 2"), had an MRA double bubble on my old bike which was excellent but having a bit of trouble finding one for my new bike. All I seem to find are bloody iridium screens and I can't stand them!
