[WR450f Electrical Problem]

G,day Im just wondering if anyone can help me start to find the electrical fault in my front end. It keeps on blowing headlight globes and the other day th indicators went too, tried a 24 v globe in there but it blew too even though the bikes only 12v, any help would be greatly appreciated.

good to see there is anothe r dirt squirter on board. they once had an oversupply of the cr 500 in australia in 99/ 2000 so they road registered them after fitting lights, blinks, and gearing them up. went like a shower of shit on the road. me and a mate went halves as we couldnt afford them on our own. only kept it 12 months as started getting bored on it. not very practical and were too snappy for enduro riding and not equipped for the track.

Hey Everyone, as you know im only new to the forum and it seems alot of you know each other well. how about you let me know what you do for a crust ect and wot interests you have as it wolud be good to find out a bit more info on everyone. I work as an Mechanical Fitter/ Machinists in a nickel processing plant on a 2 day 24 hour break 2 night and 4 days of roster. very good coin too. have lots of time to play on all things that go offroad. also like to get up to mischief with the kids as well. got a bike im rebuilding for the oldest one now, its a ( dont laugh at the brand) honda QR 50. picked it up for a carton of piss and only needs a new set of rings but have stripped it completely to powder coat the frame ect.

What is it now for new drivers, 6 points and banned?

6 points is a bit harsh. in Australia we are given 12 points. when you get you bike liscence you have a restricted 250 cc liscence for a yeay and then after that you do another test and you have an open cc liscence ( the tests are the same).

Wot we do here is if you are about to lose all your points ( if you do its a 12 month ban) you just go out and have a couple of ales at the pub then hopefully get caught and random breath tested and blow just over the legal limit of 0.05 and you onkly lose your liscence for 3 months and then when you all clear to ride or drive again you get the whole 12 points back. stupid pigs dont know whats going on.

We start at 12 and then wthey get deducted down to 0 which is when you lose the liscence

good to have a reply from you buddy. the banshee is great been kitted out for racing but doesnt though as gets to expensive running 2 bikes on the same day. very quick and loves to have the paddles fitted to the rear for some serious duning action when the water gets cold. love the ski, launches very well of a .5-1 m swell great for submersables then a couple of hops on exit of the water before you throw her into couple of spins.

nice collection there a bike, quad bike and a jet ski very nice!! how is the banshee ive always wanted one of them very quick ive heard. as for the jet ski ive ridden a super jet and a wave runner many a time and both great ski's. the 750 wave has a great kick. good for doughnuts as well!

came off the gsxr last night late at night going home from my gf's. back end went, then caught and flung me off. tried to save it but it just went round way too far. knee's a bit of a mess as is my hand and my right thigh the gsxr's not too pretty either! thats the first time i've ever came off on the hard stuff, not nice. and the noise the gixxer made going down the road was horrible. off my work now till i can get my knee to bend properly again. feel fooking stupid, i knew it was icy guess i'll have to street fighter my bike unless i can get panels for the fairing. vikki's pissed off with me, as is my dad understandably so looks like i fooked up a bit

mate i know how you feel. come of me 450f on a salt lake in 5th gear doing a standup wheelie so i felt it too man, the bike was a bit worse for wear but theres allways time and money to fix them so make sure you just worry about your own health for know and b4 you know it you will be back on there again. hope the g/f put out for you before you left cos it might be a while before your back on the nest mate.
