[Missing Yamaha xt350...]

hi guys,

my beautiful '86 xt350 was stolen last saturday...

it was taken from the norwich area and there has been no sign of it.

reg is C***KTW and it has no wing mirrors, classic white & red and over 29000 miles on the clock...

any info at all would be greatly appreciated...

Like most XT's.......they like to be ridden Regularly......

The starting ritual just comes by 2nd nature after a bit.

your right there YamaHead, i now enjoy getting the xt started...probably the sense of relief...

as to the speedo problem, i have just figured out the real speed i am going than marked it on the speedo with some stickers.

i think the decompressor is connected but i will check. any tips on starting routine?

hi there, i just bought a 1986 yamaha xt350 and there are some problems...

firstly the speedo reads faster than it should, goes up as a percentage...eg when going 20 it reads around 25 and when i go 30 it reads 40mph. is this normal for this bike? wrong size wheel?

the bike also occasionally backfires, i noticed the exhaust is missing a screw so is not completly airtight at engine end, is this why? also the engine chokes at around 6500 rpm then continues through the revs fine...could that be to do with the exhaust?

also are there any tips on starting the xt...can be a real workout at times!
