  1. i went from a honda shadow 125c roughly £300 a year fully comp at 20 to insureing a the same honda and a kawazaki ZX6R ninka 1996 for about £450 a year quite good i must say wen a car quote for a 1.1 corsa was £1200 lol ... dont worry the honda shadow has been recently sold for a yamaha DTR 125 to get me through winter

moral of the story is ... keep your 125 and insure it 1st then your bigger bike it SHOULD work out cheaper i dono why tho

Who did you use to insure both bikes? Were they on one policy? I'm thinking of insuring two bikes too, keeping my 125 for the winter :).

  2. as far as im conserned you can go do ure self as i sead i did it buy acident when i was out side sainsburys and then when i was trying to do it i was on private land near my house so next time you should consider reading more carfuly as it does state i was on a random pice of tarmac nearmy house in my first post .......

As far as I'm concerned, you can get some maturity instead of fucking your bike over and acting like a chav. It would help if you got some English lessons too mate as your spelling and grammar is awful.

  3. All over the visor, leathers n bike :crylaugh:

Yeah, know what you mean though....cant bloody wait! Its p***ing down here in Stoke today...proper dreary :shakeno:

Bring on the warmth / dry :jossun:

    oh yep :(

The weather was warmish a few days back, and now its crap!

Ahh well, hopefully the weather will improve by the time my bike gets here towards the end of the month.

  4. With regards to the Alsager and Stoke postcode thing ... I do believe that Alsager used to have a Cheshire postcode (probably CW as it is close to Crewe). This was up to the point that a local lord from that area realised that his mail reached him quicker if it came through the Stoke postal channels than the Crewe postal channels and demanded that Alsager get a SOT postcode instead of Crewe ... and, so, that is one of the urban myths behind that, although I have heard it is true and not mythical. I choose to view it as a myth, and then i cannot be accused of being 'green'

Ahh right, that is a good reason for it.

You from near Alsager then or South Cheshire in general?

  5. Technically Alsager IS still classed as Stoke on Trent is it not?? there's no getting away from us that easy...

There are plenty of meets to be honest in and around Stoke / Congleton...sometimes they are even in 'The Sentinel' and as far as "looking a tool" ...everyone has to start somewhere mate...dunna worry thee sen!

K2...thats where I puchased my lovely ride from... :D

Yeah but some people don't see it as Stoke, even if we do have a Stoke postcode :D

If I have no problems with K2, I'll probably use those for my next bike in 12/18 months once I've passed my test. Can't wait to get rid of L plates, and I don't even have the bike yet!

  6. Well, strictly speaking I don't live in Stoke, I live in Alsager - South Cheshire area. I'm looking for some meets and good places to go, even though I probably will look like a tool on my 125 :P

I got a brilliant deal from K2, near Stoke station. The bike was £1900, with insurance, CBT, road tax, helmet, 12mths breakdown cover included, so it was too good of a deal to not take :)

  7. Just a quick post to say hi, I'm 17 in March and have just ordered a YBR 125 and CBT for my first bike :) I'm also looking to do my proper bike licence so I get on a bigger bike. Any riders from Stoke on Trent in the UK here?
