  1. I have a Kuryakyn Hypercharger thingy.

I THINK Its from an 1100 or 1300 XVS

I have piccies if any of you might be able to identify it?

Ill take 50 quid for it.

At over 200 smackers new its a bargin!

If it fits XVS1300 will be interested. My understanding is there are differences between the hyper for 1100 and 1300, so need to know what is. Do you the prod. number?? Can check the techy stuff to see if it fits.

    Cheers

  2. GREAT choice of bike !! I have one, its the dogs nadds

    :-)

Yep you have to keep the clutch in slightly and slip it as it does pull alot in 1st gear, hence 'kangaroo petrol syndrome'. The bike is a little less unforgiving than a 125cc, you'll get used to it.

Don't you just love :-) it when you touch the throttle.... and it just pull's like a bat out of hell :-) !!

I don't have a screen on mine 'I'm too cool LOL !!, but read on t'internet that you get a lot of turbulance behind the screen, one way around it is to cut it down slightly. Don't know if this is applicable to you.

    Where abouts you based ??

  3. I have a Yamaha Enticer. It's currently pouring out all the oil from the black tube below the body once I get it running.

    Hey Baresi,

sounds like you have to much Oil in your engine. That pipe is an oil over flow pipe to get rid of excess oil in the engine so it doesn't damage it.

Have you checked you Oil window level ???

Oil should be just over the middle about 2/3

This should fix your problem, if it persists take it to a garage if you can't resolve the problem.

  4. There's a reason why bikers with Cruisers have big muscles - Long time outside getting suntanned while polishing bike with Autosol!!

    Great guys thnx !

1- We now have Belgom advised by Gof ;-)

    2- Autosol by the granny's butler :-)

3- Blue Job (I wonder what the marketing guy's assistant was doing in the meeting when they thought of that brand name ?)

We have two good ones, hmmm decisions decisions ... ....

the good thing about all this chrome, who needs to go to the gym after polishing ;-)

  5. There you all go with your negative vibes......... now look what's happened, 15mm of the white stuff in 20 minutes last night. The gritters have gone off on thier summer holidays and the we've got Roxanne Pallet dancing on ice past the front door (she's still not very good though)

Now, can we all think 'Hot sunn and a warm breeze', birds singing, wasps stuck in your lid, that pesky midge in your eye, melted tarmac, the blast of a hot exhaust while you're sitting in traffic waiting for the lights, leathers that are stuck to your legs when you get home, you know the feeling - Summer, or here in Cumbria, May23rd........

Well those positive vibes you're sending certainly are helping in my part of Kent. Sunny !!

Hence, will put some miles on me'bike today too :-)

When I think summer I think: girls/women scantly clad, sun, heat, leathers, smell of oil, burning rubber tyres, more girls, shinny chrome, more girls, empty open roads!! and finally .... nice cold beer - Summer

  6. Yep apparently snow from wednesday :-(

Hope not, cos have a nice ride this weekend riding in my new bike all the way up norf' ayyee !!

Finally got my new bike, although bought it a couple of weeks back, had to wait for the new reg date - 2nd March. It was torture couldn't sleep properly cos of excitment.

The bike goes like a rocket, really tempting to take it passed 55mph !! But ..... can't haavvvee ... to .. waaiiitt........

only a week due to trip. It'll be 400 mile round trip, plus bits here and there it will be ready for its first service next week woahoo !!!

    Yeah crap weather !!

  7. Thinking of getting some Cobra pipes with a FI2000 unit for my XVS 1300.

Although I'm also weighing up the Vance and Hines pipes too, but like the sound of Cobra's.

I can get hold of the Vance and Hines in UK. The US of A have all the good stuff. Can only find suppliers in the USA for Cobra, anyone know where i can get some in the UK ??

Its all about the ££'s right now.....

What you guys think Cobra OR Vance and Hines for an XVS 1300??

  8. Heel/toe the way cruisers should be. :-)

I heard through the grape vein they are working on a 2.6 litre version of the Rocket III !!!!!

.....wonder what BHP that will be and how fast... 2.3 will already do 150mph !

  9. Saw a 950A on saturday. Nice bike if you want the retro look.

As far as the differences without the obvious power and liquid cooled engine. Its more in the lines and size.

The speedo looks cool following into the lines of the fuel tank. The seating is lower and you are more inside the bike (oh err!).

From what I've read on another forum somewhere you do miss that extra bit of cc which makes a difference in power from mid to top end, apparently. Obviously the top speed is less about 90something.

Thats all I know about 'em, but like pointed out already by the nice folks on here you can buy a 2008 XVS1300A model for roughly the same price.

  10. Hi guys,

Anyone know what the updated differences between last years XVS1300A model and this years 2009 model ??

Example:- in 2008 we know the clutch noise was sorted out from the 2007, the clutch assembly package was replaced.

I can't find anything different so far from last year 2008 to this years model....

    Anyone shed some light ??

  11. Hey guys,

A quick update on the crash bars for the Enticer.

I haven't found any and to be honest with you, after riding it for a few weeks you don't really need them.

There is plenty of protection with the floor boards and handle bars should you be unfortunate to drop of come off your bike.

Secondly it still looks cool without them.

  12. Having just spoken to a very nice man called Richard at Chorley Yamaha Centre, he has reliably informed me that the SPANKIN NEW XVS950 Midnight Star is due in the UK mid February at an approximate price of £6399 OTR. (VERY fookin cheap!)

He is gonna call me when they themselves get one in so i can go take a look and have a test ride

Richard - You are indeed a top bloke :D

Hope I get my full license by then... also just around that time of year its my birthday.... could be a lucky boy this year !! OOHH YESSS!

  13. Hi guys,

I've seen some pics of the Yamaha 'Enticer' 125cc with engine crash bars on the net, it not only protects the engine when newbies like me drop them, but makes the bike look a lot meaner :-) !!! YEAAAH !!!

I've been doing a bit more research on the bike, as i recently purchased one second hand.

Now this model turns out to have been made mainly for the Indian market and is not readily available in UK. The bike recieved great reviews in its hey day 2002 to 2005, hence why i snapped it up when i saw it.

I have tried to find some spares and extras but can't find much info about them without going to India.

Now I was wondering if anyone out there knows if they ever manufactured Engine Crash bars for this model (like a proper cruiser suchas as the lovely new midnight Star !! ) and where i could get some ??

Alternatively does anyone know what other Yamaha model crash bars would fit the Enticer ??

Would be greatful for any feedback, can anyone help ???

    cheers

  14. Hey guys n gals,

Just got my first moto :-) A Second hand Yamaha Enticer, don't know anyone else thats got one in UK.

Was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this bike. I've read some stuff, but all from India. Guess thats fine since the bike was aimed at the Indian market.

I'm soon to be doing my CBT and my bike knowledge is retty limited, so need some reassurance that this was a good choice for my first moto :-) ??

    cheers
