[DT400 forks]

The forks are back together the way they were and I have to conclude the Yamaha diagram is wrong (surprisingly).

[Help with DT 400]

I think the oil pump is not working on my DT 400(1978 I think), I'm thinking I can just mix the gas. What ratio should I use? the electrical doesn't work either, do I need a fully charged battery? I've lost the key, but I can move the switch to start and ride the bike. Maybe I can't move the switch far enough to get the lights to work? The bike has been sitting around for a few years, I'm just trying to get it going to teach my son to ride bikes (he's a teenager). Any information would be greatly appreciated.

my dt400 runs without a battery,and i put 20-1 in tank till i put pump on.runs better with pump. good luck

Yeah don't get started on the weather. 40+ in summer and minus 5ish in winter. Victoria on fire and floods up north. Take your pick.....

no not on the dt need it for the sr500 thanks,the dt has a hard enamel looking paint like a factory finnish.

can anyone tell me of a good paint to put on the exhaust.

the one i use now is not much good.im looking for one with a shine,all the ones i have seen are matt.
