Just got a 97 yzf 750 get it home charge battery and it will not start the tach needle goes up and down with the key on...but battery is fully charged??Then the silenoid stops working so i jump the noid with a screwdriver and nothing..just turns over!Does the sienoid have anything to do with spark allowance?But my question is why does the tach needle move up and down even though the battery is fully charged?

    its a later yzf thayhave taco fault find thingi lol is there a spark ?? have ya looked

  2. mines doing just over 100 and its standard !! seems a lot of work just to get 10 to 15 more let alone more over that !!

    got the factory kit manuel showes how to and what to do to make it like a factory ride :icon_wink: can e mail it if u want a copy :D

  4. Can anyone help

    I have a 1988 FZR 1000 Genesis. It has developed an ignition fault that seems to have fried two CDI units.

    Sympyons = It started - went onto two pots - then no spark - then two pots again - then no spark again.

    Replaced the CDI and it ran great for about 5 miles and then the above symptons happened.

    I have changed the coils checked all continuity etc etc but I cannot sort the fault. I have ordered another CDI but do not want to put it on and fry this one ....... it starts to be expensive.

  5. i ve tried both of the ideas that were posted but the ignition switch was tight and there was no blockage in the pipes, i've had the coil tested and that was ok any other ideas cheers

    try the 2 fule filters if not its a carb prob
