  3. Hey folks!!! Finally just got my new front mud guard on!!! from the time the police reversed into me!!!! it looks so good and what a big fender it is!!! Im nearly 100% sure that because i didnt have it on thats what was doing the damage to my plugs ect. also can any1 give me a tip or experience with having trouble with their dash on a drag letting in water??? i see during the rain that my neutral light is staying on (more faded when in gear) and then goes away when the bike has dried out! can you give me tips about avoiding (fixing) this problem i thought of using a clear like filler round the seams but this would effect any other time i wanted to take it off for electical faults Chris

  7. Yes granted it is a beast, but i dont think it looks as bulky as goldwings?? it is a big muscle cruiser, i think he paid 7000 for it HP, £200 a month!! Its a lovely big bike, and produces an incredible sound, heated grips are a ncie bonus too. GOFF i am a size 8 would toe heel not be difficult for me or is there a way to align it to your foot size???

  10. OLDTIMER!!!!! thats who it was !! my apologies and hes up there with them all for great people on this forum!! the reason i forgot the name is because they are so similar!!! oldgit and oldtimer!! "BRING ON THE TRUMPETS"
  11. My god I love you people!!! "BRING ON THE TRUMPETS!!!! " i will jsut spill my input here, that MoFo who was jsut out of primary school getting up peoples arses needs to wise up! I know i do my fair share of hassling round here but never to that extent!!! i hate the "C" word so vulgar!! There are a lot of people who i regard internet buddies on here who have helped me with my bike (a lot) and you know who you's are , if not i shall list lol!!! Ttasmaster, GOFF (beautiful as i liek to call her) Oldgit, and trumpet man which could be the same person!!! there is some1 else and i cant remember his name please forgive!!! so to the guy who was running his mouth "away n wash yer bollicks son! " get him banned talking shit liek that!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!! XXXX
  12. Old timer, that was some great advice you gave me thanks!!! i gave the bike a good proper clean last night and i can thankfully say its running sweet!!! i can see they have put two brand new spark plugs in (one on either side) what are the other plugs on the bike for?? i see there is a smaller one, that wasnt (didnt need??) replaced. Can i be silly andask how you go about checking the plugs, is it a case of screwing them right out?? what should i be lookign for to see if they are in good condit.... p.s (two birds with one stone) while cleanign the bike i went to the rear end where i have my saddle bags and lifted them and seen on the back mud guard there is ncie lookign strips of chrome, unfortunately these have started to to grow small bubbles of white stuff, almost liek the chrome is pitting mosst likely is, is there anu solution to this other than replacing, as i mgiht want to take my saddle bags off one day and show it off until then they are staying on lol !!!
  13. thank you old timer!!! and i know from experience that you would have came to my aid sooner if you were on!!! also further up from that lil hole (drainage) there seems to be like a figure 8 indent that looks like a hole but upon further inspection (sticking a bit of a branch up it) i found this was only a couple of mills deep so no danger there, just curious as to what it might be??? also does replacing the plugs indicate that there is a problem with the fuel??? my front mud guard is still broke and during the rainy days a lot of of dirty water is flicking up onto the twins, i think this is were all my initial problems have came from!!! again thanks old timer!!!
  14. hey folks, got the drag back today, was told the problem was with the plugs so fitted new ones!! is this a result of a fuel problem which some1 told me ??? also can any1 else with a drag xvs 125 (2004) tell me if they have drainage hole in their lower exhaust as i was told this is what the hole was, i seen the hole and it looked to perfect to be down to corrosion it was a perfect circle. all repleis most welcome!!!
  15. yea well i will be findingo ut today what the main issue is with it, i think my dealer is an arse i dont think they know enoguh about bieks and if they do they take the lazy approach ...or the selfish approach that if its a warranty job then there isnt really anything positive in it for them so they take their time on the fix!!! bastardos!!!!
  16. the guys came and picked the bike up yesterday, Im wondering what i should be looking out for when they have fixed the hole??? what way should they have done this (Under warranty!!!) should i expect a welding job or some sheet metal welded on looking shit????
  17. update on this one, upon leaving work the bike wouldnt start at all and when i did eventually start i was holding the accel all the way and nothing for ten seconds the i felt the lower exhaust about half way down where the weld is , low and behold i felt a shot of air coming out, so it looks like the hole in the exhaust is my problem. but i dont think it is the only problem because of the initial popping noise coming from the from of the bike???!!!
  18. hey paul!!! thanks buddy good advice i will have a good tinker with it tonight, better yet before i leave work cus it will still be cold!!! im getting really frustratd but i suppose thats all part n parcel. will let you know how i get on matey!!! Chris
  19. Tt, Granted that it could be revving to much but i really dont think that is the problem, i think the latter from your input is more the case the bike when rolling up to light tends to cut out too from running too low! in the mornings with this cold weather i have been keeping the choke fully open to warm up then riding round half open for a while to heat the engine up, could it have something to do with how cold it is??? The popping noise was coming from the front end initially when i was at high revs, and when i stopped you could see smoke/steam coming from the first bend in exhaust ....
  20. Hey guys its me again 125 dragstar (2004) with more problems, i was on with a post talking about the feeling of loss of power (that out of fuel sensation) more recently this has prgressed to a popping (like popcorn popping) sound coming from the front end just behind my front wheel, also from the lower exhaust as if one of the exhausts isnt firing out properly, like its backfiring, can anyone advise (in lamens terms) as im in experienced at the mo!!!! Grateful for any input as usual!!!! Chris
  21. hey guys!!! LIL problem, want to know aif any1 else with a 125 drag has had this problem, when it has been raining and i get on the bike i shift from neutral to 1st and the neutral light still stays on , not as strong just a glimmer of light , sometimes worse with worse weather, im guessing this is due to water getting in somewere!?!?! infor and advice please!! P.S thought i would get two birds with one stone, also in bad weather my bike seems to be dragging i have talked about this before, the back end of my front mudd guard has been broken and water flicks up and hits the enginge constantly, could this be having an adverse effect on the engine?!?!? thanks Chris
  22. great thanks for the info old git!!!! and taskmaster! will try when i go home!!
  23. i dont think the 125 drags do have an external oil cannister filter im not 100% on what it is but i know there doesnt seem to be anything like that on the external side of the bike, maybe its under the body?? I really need to learn about bikes its annopying me not knowing the lingo..........ignition coils??? spark plug caps...i dont know were any of these things are ...sorry to be a nuisance newbie!!!
  24. guys im embaressed to ask this but what are the HT leads??? also my horn connection is corroded, will this be cheap to fix, also what are the best types of horns to get??? and would warranty cover it as i couldnt be my fault that its corroded as i have only had it 2 months..... its due a service do these people service bikes honestly, what are the signs of knowing they servied it properly are they supposed to take it out for a test run???
  25. I see what old git is saying i did get a replacement crankshaft in my drag!!!!!! i hope this isnt going to mean more etensive repairs, even though i have warranty on the bike i cant be assed with having to wait for repairs!!!! I should have jsut bought a brand new bike even thoguh this one only had 1900 miles!!!!!! i thought it had something to do with the rain it seems worse in the heavy rain (the drag in the bike) I understand what your saying Ttaskmaster but i shift at the right time i think, usually into 2nd around 10mph, 3rd around 25, and so on.....this is worrying me as i konked out on me as i was on the carriageway!!!! The bike is now due a service maybe it has somethign to do with the oil??? as it has not been changed the last 1500 miles, also forgot to tell the gang bout my incident, i still havent crashed......when i say that i mean with it being my fault!!! i was on my way to work and a police car reversed into me breaking my front mud guard, then two days ago an elderly woman did the same!!!! give me strength lol
