  1. Will it ever come to the UK tho ?

Should do 95 mph same as the RD 250DX of yestyear but with 75 - 85 mpg ( RD 250DX 33 mpg ) with 1 cylinder for low running cost , perhaps it should be named CB250S though !

  2. Micron looks the best but they are no longer available, the leo vincy( 65% weight reduction over the 6.1 k stock system, LeoVince weighs in at a lowly 2.11k !) is good at £360 so is the MIVV GP ti at £320 are now the best full systems imho with the arrow 3rd

  3. Found it :D there is a small transparent widget thingamybob dangling down off the bottom of the air box in the rear shock area, slid that off ,some goo came out :o

    Picture to follow.

  4. Probably something( to do with the fact I have just bought a pressure washer to clean my sons Mxer , it says in there not to run it without water other wise damage to the pump will occur,) playing on my mind.

  5. No not yet, I think that is the way I have to go too, the thing that concerns me is that if I disconnect the fuel hose and reconnect it with an air lock in the fuel injection system it may do some damage to the pump as I think they operate at quite a high PSI pressure, there could be a bleed screw or valve to open on the pump to let the air out until fuel flows out.

Unless the pump is in the tank in which case the bike will not start until the fuel has been pumped down the tube through the injector and into the engine. (This I think could be OK.)

There must be someone on here with some mechanical knowledge it is a case of them reading this then replying .I hope.

  6. Hehe heh, much needed ;) Going for a micron then?

Really want one can’t afford one Boo Hoo (crying insanely) :(

there will probably be people who know or information available to access it (cant be that bad!)

No one yet with any no how (more crying) :(

  7. I had a CBR600RR which is also a fuel injected bike that also had no information on what to remove, or how to get to the air filter in the owners manual. :(

Yet all my previous carburettor bikes (02 Hornet CB600 , 00 CB500) had the information in the owners manual which was 3 screws remove a plastic cover slide old filter out put new one in replace cover and screws, job done. :)

    We need a Haynes manual.

  8. Owners manual says clean 3500 miles, replace 7000 miles must be done by a Yamaha dealer. :(

£50 an hour they charge :( must be something to do with the fuel injection pressure?

  9. Just looking through my owners manual at the air filter section, disappointed with that as I like to service my bikes myself.

Any one had one cleaned/replaced yet?How much did it cost ? :(

  10. yeah scorpian sounds good with baffle out, i got pulled by the filth yesterday for it being too loud! of course i'll put it back in!!!!???

Pulled by the filth , lucky you weren’t pulled by the Fuzz

  11. also the performance was affected i was up to 5th gear and struggling to stay at,...get this 30MPH!!!!!!! can some1 explain what this might be....also is it jsut me or is flicking back and forth to neutral a bit tricky???

    Thanks all!!!

Keep the rev counter needle around 6,000 RPM in town & 9,500 out of town ,keep tucked in you should still get 100 mpg out of a 125.

    Hope this helps. :)

  12. i agree with you totally as usual taskmaster my everyday bike is a dragstar125 and it is an excellent bike, where he thought he was right at any point i dont know the poor guy is looking for help and all he can do is kick the blokes choice of bike not a lot of help there?

Yes your right ,he has made the right choice ,hope it does not cost to much to repair.

  13. Bad choice, you should have got a YZF-R125 :(

Absolute bollocks - How can you pose in tassled leathers & sunglasses if you've got one of those??!!

    :P:lol:B)

I have found the problem took the bike to mechanic today.....my bike is 2004...it only has 1900 miles on her, but the guy who owned it b4 had left it sitting on the kick stand ...im guessing for the guts of two years and due to this the oil has been shifted to sittin at one side which has made the bearings seize up ......i have to wait 7-8 days for parts now!!!! dammit and i only got it two days ago!!! its costing them £500 pounds to fix ...costingm e nothign bcus the guy gave me 1 year warranty on a 2nd hand bike!!!! tis a lovely bike...so when the bearings are fixed it will be like a new bike.....can u believe it only 1900 miles on a 4 year old bike the guy b4 was old and didnt use it much.... thanks 4 ur input buddy please reply .......
