  1. if you are unsure about any of it, give the people you are doing your training with a ring, they will tell you all everything you need to know. ;)

+ it will all be bang up to date info. or just ask on here, lots of knowledge on here. :)

  2. cheers, i was thinking new, but thats just cus of knowing the history and the one i fancied only came out this yr, etc etc

il take a peek at the TTR's ;)

  3. thanks for that, tbh, i dont think the 450 is street legal here in the uk either, as its the F, they dont do it in the R or X versions.

the slightly off putting bit about the 250R is the black frame etc, as ive seen it in silver and prefer it, but i think the R uk version has black.

  4. just looking at getting my first bike for off road/ also daily commute (short journey to work)

so, im going with the WR im thinking the 250r

or can anyone comment on the WR450, which would do me best?

    TIA

  5. Yeah i chased it up they said we will call you back in 5mins 2 hours later no call kept pestering them 4 about 2 weeks every day and nothing they just didnt wana know.

  6. id be interested to hear your views on the WR250r i want one, but would change the exhaust, take off the number plate plinth, change the indicators etc etc, have messed about with a photo to get one how id like, but dont know how to post pic's up. seems abit of a `PITA posting pic's.

  7. whats the after sales service like from DK then?

and would buying a bike from them have any down sides with insurance?

buying new, would I have to keep going back for services or any warranty issues etc

or could i take it to any yamaha dealer?

    cheers

  8. Only because they are a little overpriced but that could also bring a good aftersales i suppose. Im tight see lol

must only be over priced on certain items then as the bike i want is a thousand quid cheaper from them than anywhere else in the country. :)

  9. Hi mate, I just replied to your thread- check it out. Your Mum is right, you'll probably get £1,500 if you kept it mint. I'm getting a new one for various reasons but thats for me to know.. As I said on your thread, nobody knows your financial situation so if you can afford the bike, and proper gear and the depreciation; go for it. You may get a second hand bike and have to do a engine rebuild or what ever, but you may just be constantly paying money to get it road worthy. My friend got one second hand, the guy he bought it from blatently thrashed the shit out of it- he's lucky because he hasn't had any problems, yet.

Anyway, I wasn't going to disclose where I got mine from because I thought they'd all run out :D Nah only joking but I've put a deposit on one so it's mine.. I got it from the 'Bikeshop' in Long Eaton, Nottingham. Gear4bikers.co.uk

£350 tpf&t is the cheapest I've found so far.

its not hard thrashing the shit out of a 50!

  10. not much chance of getting your test b4 the changes, ive been asking around and no one can get me sorted b4 then, still, i doesnt matter, we will all just have to pass the new one, the only thing that gets on my tits is the price to pass!! its like 800 quid!

  11. been in two different bike shops this week, neither of which have had the WR250R in, and both of which have stressed they will not be having that model in but can order one in if i place an order to buy!

seems real bad and abit off that i have to fork out £5000 on a bike ive not even seen in the flesh let alone sat on!

    how frustrating! <_<
