  1. what cam corder is it, and do you cover the mike or pad it.

It is normal hand-held video Sony camera. Its in a tank bag so is protected from the wind and obviously the screen helps. Only downside is the shake due to the rubber tank mounts

  2. Just a friendly word of advice .You may want to be careful about what videos you post. A chap on another forum i visit had a 7am wakeup call from the law and his bike, leathers, pc etc confiscated due to certain videos posted on youtube. ;)

Thanks for the advice, the law are welcome to take my bike as long as they can find which breakers it's in plus the leathers are all scuffed and the helmet's in the bin! :( Anyway, it's still a good job that no laws are transgressed on any of those videos .As for speeds, well they are obviously digitally enhanced  just like in this one:

  3. looks an ace road, btw ,have you got a new horn.

you seem less confident about overtaking, have the memories not yet faded..

That road has quite a few blind junctions and I have had a few close ones there so use the horn a fair bit and play it a bit safe on the overtakes. Still a great road tho B)

  4. good vid ,caravans eh, ,,whats the tape on the clock for,,legal reasons,,,officer, .

Ahhh.. I had a brand new rear tyre on and when I check the speedo to ensure that I am complying with the speed limit, I get a reminder that

Anyway, here's another ride within the speed limit

  5. aw,that's a damn shame, sorry that don't sound nice ,any how you got yourself another ride yet.and has the pain eased off .

    no new bike yet, mulling over options. Ankle still a bit stiff and swollen but getting there. Anyway, here's another little blast;

  6. it may sound a bit heartless this, but seeing as your in good spirit,,can i see the vid when you come off.

No, you bloody can't. I had just turned the camera off beforehand. Anyway, it was a shite crash, no more than 30mph and bolt upright. the best bit would have been me shouting 'oh f*ck!!!!!!!' :crying:

  7. heard about your accident, hoping its' not to serious,,,we found the vids you were keeping from us by the way,,get well soon anyhow mate.

Well at least you're happy now! Out of plaster now and limping back to fitness, thanks for asking. Not sure what my next bike will be but I will be back in 2011

A bit of tomfoolery in Wales May 09

  9. The one that got me was hidden in a layby behind a lorrry just around a bend on a dual carriageway. There is NO pedestrianisation and NO schools or elderly folk anywhere near - and i was doing 5mph over the limit. I was speeding and i was wrong to, but fair enough if i had been near a school or pedestrians etc - but i wasnt and THAT (and the sneaky way they hid) is what pissed me off.

I tried to be a smartass and challenge mine in court. Big mistake! Insted of a £60 fine Ihad to cough up £390  And the "person" operating the van had writen down that they had carried out the required visability check when this was clearly impossable. I think everyone knows the four letter word I now use to discribe them.

  10. Funny how they quote the figures but can't actually attribute them to either excessive speed or the deployment of their mobile 'cash machines'..........ahhh statistics....

    <_<<_<<_<

They didn't mention how hiding behind bushes or using horse boxes contributes to biker safety. It's all bollocks. The van that did me was hidden by the overhanging branches of a tree and capturing traffic driving away from any danger on a long straight clear streach of road.
