  1. i just ordered front flush indercators on ebay for £16 they look sweet!(06-08 YAMAHA YZF R6 YZFR6 FLUSH CLEAR LED INDICATORS)

also i just contacted motrax.co.uk about making some rear indercators to fit the gaps in the rear seat unit, they have passed the idea to there product department, so if enough people enquire the might make them!

Yeah good idea - there are a few companies already doing these and also indipendent guys also. I just saw a US company doing these and look the best ive seen.

The only problem I have with any of these flush indicators is that i would not be sure people could see you from the front!!

  2. Nice looking bike the R6 - with that on it shows the swing arm off. I am thinking of adding one to mine now but hardly get the chance to get out on the thing in this weather!

Not seen that colour with the grey - bad ass bike. is that the r&g tail tidy?

  3. I have the 08 r6 and has a oring chain. Anyone knows what is the best lube for this type of chain. I have Profi Dri lube presently??

Also want to know if flush indcator mods are legal - just in cast I get stopped one day with them??

  4. ok well it really depends on how much u wana spend and also are u looking for just a slip on or full system?

for good performance a full system and power commander with the right map will give u a great increase in power but for just a sound upgrade a slip on will achieve that but i would definatley recommend u do these things in this order first_

    1. crash mushrooms all round to protect ur baby

    2. tail tidy to remove that big ugly thing on the back

    3. flush mount indicators

    4. full system akcropovic, termogini, yoshimura exhaust as all of these are greatlooks nd performance

    5. power commander pc3 with a custom map to the exhaust on a dyno and replace air filter with bmc one

    6. do a few track days and enjoy her because if you do all these steps you will have a great performing machine.

    hope this helped

Anyone know if flush mounted indicators and the indicators in the rear integrated tail light indicators are road legal /MOT???????

  5. [i've already done the R&G tail tidy and flush indicator jobs, and plenty more mods to come.

But just have a couple of questions i hope someone can help with!

a- Where can i get a pair of pillion peg blank plates from?

Looking to get the indcator mods done but not sure where yet also have you any pics so i can check how it looks before getting it done?

  6. Rear integrated tail light: for instance http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-YZF-R6-2008-2...id=p3286.c0.m14

and the flush mount fn ones are by motrax (these will pass MOT i think, but the rear ones won't) However the rear ones are 'plug and play' so I guess you could keep switching them around):

I think it'd make a whoel lot of difference to styling.

Also a good deal on the Yamaha as mentoned earlier is the Georgwhite offer. 08 R6 for £7499 with ull leather race suite, shoei raid helmet, race boots, double bouble screen, micron slip on can, rear seat cover, front and rear stands, crash bungs, monster chain and s4 datatool alarm thrown in. I think it's also 0% yamaha finance.

This link shows an good example

  7. Hello all - I am new to the forum. Name is Paul, live in Altrincham South Manchester and have just bought a 2003 R6. I am after some advice over what Tail Tidy to get. Having done a quick google search have come up with a few but I can't work out whether you lose the rear indicators or not? Similarly, some seem simple to fit, others require drilling! Before I go and splash out some pennies on this, I would like to know if anyone on here has a tail tidy on a 2003 R6, how hard they were to fit with indicators and where they bought it from?

    Cheers in advance.

Paul, I am also on the lookout for one for my R6 2008 - R&G do them and also Evotech as above - both look to be the best quality and seem easy to fit. I am based about 8 miles from you in Alt, may see you about on your R6.

  8. if your bike is new then you wont need to know what oil to purchase - the dealership will do it when it goes in for a service...?

I wanted to know about the yamalube as the bike was due for its first oil change /600 mile first service. The dealer was going to use silkaline (not sure on the spelling) But I wanted to use yamlube and he did not have it in stcok so I was going to order fron elsewhere. Ayway the dealer ended up getting it in stock and used yamalube as i requested. the bike is now run in and runs like it should(FAST).

I still have not ordered the tail tidy as want to see some pics / examples with the plate on. Any on the site?? plus I am working out if the money should be spent on a tinted visor for the helmet!

Anyone seen the r6 with the indicator conversion- front indicators built in to the side of the bike?

  9. Also just one more thing. The guy on the phone from DK motorcycles said the £5999 2008 R6 are American imports. Saying the only difference is that the American R6's have reflectors on the wheels 'that just unbolt off.'

Is there anything else should be aware about on the American R6?

    Thanks

The imports dont have the yam immobiliser and there is another difference i can not think of - ask your dealer also the warranty is with dk not yam - i would go for a uk bike. i got my uk 08 r6 for £6800 with tax on 0% from my Yamaha dealer. You may get it even cheaper now the season is changing!!

The 08 bike is packed with technology and is an adrenaline machine at high rpm

i would be interested to learn more about these indicator modifications

  10. Ok as my first post on the site I am looking for advise on tail tidy's.... Any one out there got one for the new r6?

I know of R&G and Evotech performance but is there any other outfits making them? Also any pics available to see how they look on the bike?

Another question is about Yamalube, my bike is coming up for the first service and wanted to know if the Yamalube would be the best choice, I am guessing it is but would like to know which Yamalube to purchase?

    Thanks in advance
