I will give them a try now...

I am looking to Insure my Yamaha YZF-R125 and have just had my renewal from Bennetts for £170 fully comp protected with 7 years no claims and I have a full bike licence...
I have just done a comparison quote with The Bike Insurer and as always with comparison sites it has come up with plenty of companies I have never heard of as Brokers, but no the insure companies ie. Equity Red Star.
Has anyone heard of aQuote as they have offered £125 with legal protection (£100,000.
Other than that anyone recommend anywhere else that I can get a quote please?
-
I agree - that's why I do my own for the most part, main dealers are really expensive and look down their noses at anything older than about 5 years!
How many hours labour?
It didn't say how many hours labour, but I can't imagine it being much. I had to use them as the bike is still under warranty...
-
I have just paid £160 to have my bike serviced from the main dealer. When you look at the breakdown on the bill I paid £118 just in labour... It was it's 3500 mile service.
How can they justify that!!!!!!

you sure it was the right pad?, when i bought mine they had a few dozen to choose form at £10 a pop, and it fits my little 50 absolutely fine
http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/produ...amp;kw=tank+pad
thats the one i have, but it looks like they've discontinued my specific one
Don't know why, but when I searched I only found 2... I think I will buy one of these... Cheers

i got mine for £10 from busters, "Keiti Additions"
specifically a R125 one you want?, i bought a blue one to match the colour of my bike, and because it has tits on it, and when you're my age having a nekkid chick on your fuel tank adds so much to your streetcred
I looked on there and they only had 2 and where about £20 if I remember. It has to fit a 125...
-
Anyone know where to get one of these from please?
Seen them on eBay for about £23.00

What is the recommended period for having an R125 serviced. I have had it's 1st service done, but wondered when the next was due or at least recommended?
Cheers

I have used the AC 90 as recommended by a friend and it was great. He even gave me a can so a bonus....
-
I have been told about a product called AC 90, has anyone used this before?

Cheers I will give it a go tomorrow... Is there a product you can buy off the shelf?
-
I can see this costing me a lot of money then as I don't have one of them either...

Ha Ha. I wasn't going to lube the brakes, just wanted the rust off..... Can the chain be lubed without taking it off?
-
What is the best thing to lubricate a Rusty Chain and Brake Discs? This has been caused from excessive washing.
Also what is the best thing to prevent this from happening again?
-
no if you look at what i have done to the bike it will helpp with the speed thing
Well don't keep it to yourself, what have you done......
-
well i dissagree with you i'm 12 and a half stone and mine pulls all the way to 85 no probs
Is yours de restricted? As I weigh the same and the fastest I have had is about 73mph....
-
If the bike is less than 6 months old, take it back to where you got it from and have them look at it as it must still be under warranty?
I have booked it in.....
-
The bike is less than 6 months old so I have basically done not much to it. I checked the oil and it is still fine and as for the clutch it feels ok. I did find that on a few occasions when I started it it was very 'spluterry', but I put this down to the cold weather as it had been outside for several hours and it was 3am.....
-
I have noticed in the last few days that I am struggling to get my R125 over 63mph and that is at 80,000 revs in top gear. I can usually get 73mph out of it. Is anyone else having or had a similar problem and can anyone think of what the problem may be before I get it checked out?

i work doing all modifying on cars (body kits and stuff)
i made my own tail tidy from the original one and it looks geat . dead easy 2
Can you post a picture of it?
-
Not to mention if you're like me and you like to go out and go to a pub or party or bar and you use it and you forget you have it on it can and WILL cause MAJOR DAMAGE. So I hate them.
Moral of the story don't drink and ride
and you won't forget it...And the one I have got has an alarm on....
