Also be careful there are some parts you do not want to soak

the xs400 has 2 jets on it one the small one is the one that is blocked up that is your idle jet try pulling it and pushing compressed air through it if it is still blocked you can but be very careful not to ream it out take a single bristle from a wire brush and poke it threugh there. That should solve your problem.

I have a 1980 xs400special redid the carbs bike fired right up as always. Took it out on it's maiden voyage got to the end of my driveway and the bike completely died. Now it will not fire at all. starter will not work, lights do work, kickstart won't start it. Please help
