  1. thanks 4 numb hand suggestion

but we are more bothered about sorting out probs with bike

think the numbness was caused by the awful vibration or should i say abnormal vibration

obviously no one else has had this problem

  2. come on you lot

    bike still in dock

dealer sent it back just as bad if not worse

cant beleive no one else has had a similar problem

    or even an opinion

hubbie going again on wed to see if problem solved

    wont hold my breath

  3. thanks for all your suggestions on curing numb hands

hubbies been riding bikes for 45 years so he knows all about riding positions and adjustments

    its not any of those

bikes been back at dealers for 3 weeks waiting for them to sort it

when he starts it up it takes about 4secs for fuel injection to prime

when its running it sounds like cam chain is falling off

    it vibrates really bad

    and drinks petrol

dealer brought it back today said it was sorted but was even worse

has anyone else had any problems like this

  4. my husband has a new yamaha 1300 which sends his hands numb after 30mins riding

spoke to yamaha and they said they had heard of similar complaints

    anyone out there experienced same

  5. what make of helmets?? I have had a Caberg and that was horride for noise

    shark agv and aerotech

it is not the helmets causing the problem cos have had several bikes and no problem

also cant change screen as it is an electric one built into fairing

on a different note has anyone else not gone to the bmf this year as the ticket price is a rip off

just cos someone was creaming off the profits we shouldnt have to pay for it : :(:tantrum:

  6. How tall is he? It can sometimes be that very tall riders can benefit from an aftermarket screen. Also the make and type of helmet worn can have a big effect. Might be worth having a lend of a different make to see if it makes a difference.

    thanks for suggestions

hes only 5ft 7in and we own 5 helmets between us and have tried them all

  7. hi tigger here

new to this as u can tell

we have a yamaha fjr 1300 which hubby is about to sell only done 600 miles

no matter wher the screen is positioned the wind buffering is bad

so bad to the point of being dangerous

and even wearing ear plugs his ears ring for days after

has anyone else had a similar problem
