Strange place to be at the moment. Basically 2 weeks ago I went on an off road excursion on a Suzuki dr 400 for four hours and just had to have more. Mid life crisis ? Maybe. Anyhow Saturday seen me in the strange situation / position of buying a 1991 Yamaha XT 350 and now im hooked. Mainly off road but would like to go for the test obviously in the near future. Along with no doubt many others I sought out the site to gain advice and assistance with a slight problem, Broken kickstart shaft. Welcome to the real world eh?? Advice welcome on repair...

I'm new to the forum but have had my XVS950a for just coming up to a year. I love the bike but ultimately is was a 2nd choice, once I decided I couldn't afford a Harley Davidson Fat boy. I'm just getting to the stage where I want to start customising the bike now and have joined the forum to seek advice and general chat about customisation options... Look forward to speaking to you all. Marc

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and fairly new to biking. Let me tell you a bit about myself, Im 28 years old from Edinburgh. I own a Yamaha YZF R125, best bike iv owned so far. Wish I got into biking sooner as I love every minute of it. First bike I owned was a Honda NSR125, shortly after I went for my CBT which was my first real shot of a bike. I'm looking to go for direct access when and if i can due to work commitments. But fingers crossed we get good weather for it soon

I'm Dave from Dublin. I'm in the process of restoring a 1970 YAS1 with the help of a good mate, Kieran. Picture attached. It's been a long road as loads of parts were missing and the bike itself had been butchered in many ways. But we are getting there and should be finished in a couple of weeks, We've also just bought a 1967 YL1 Sports also for restoration but it should be easier as it appears to be fairly intact. (I had one of these back in 1970 so it's a nostalgia thing!) Cheers and I look forward to being a member.

I've had my YBR 250 for about a year now. Have had a few Yamaha over the years. Including: 86' SRX 600 (a donkey when it comes to kick-starting, but a really fun bike to ride), 82' XS 400 (old reliable....rode it for 10 years....5 days a week...rain or shine...not a single hiccup)

Joining from Atlantic Canada! I've been riding for 3 years now, and motorcycles are turning into a bit of an addiction (as they so often do)... I'm determined to be able to do at least some basic bike maintenance myself, but have a lot to learn. I started out on a SuzukiTU250. It was a great little bike, but the roads here are generally so terrible that I couldn't really leave town with it unless I wanted my teeth rattled out by potholes and transport trucks. So now my real baby is a 2014 Triumph Scrambler. Lots more guts for the highways, and can handle some dirt roads here and there (tho not really true trail riding). She's a good deal more complex than the T…

Hi all I'm Dan from North Shropshire. Been off bikes a few years after having kids but just bought a beautiful 1993 FZR 600 Canadian import. Looking forward to reading up on them and maybe having a bit of banter with some fellow bikers. Kind regards Dan
