Hello all, just thought I'd drop a line on here to introduce myself. My name is Jacob from western NC. My grandfather gave me his old 71' CT1 175 about 5 years ago. Sad story developed; I started restoring it at my house at college, left it in my basement when I moved because I had no room, and went back to move it and it was gone. Landlord said she never saw it which seemed fishy but its been 3 yrs since the incident. I doubt anyone stole it because it was stripped down to the frame so it may have been junked. The incident was def fault on my end and the bike is no longer in my possession. My grandad asks about it from time to time and I can't bring myself to tell…

My Name is Jamie and just climbed back on a bike after a 3 year absence. I ride all year round and it always makes me smile no matter the weather and considering i live mid west Wales the weather is usually crap. I ride a 2009 XJ6N which I'm always trying to find 7th gear on but it's quite fun in the back roads but still trying to get used to the bike. This is my first Yamaha since i started riding on the roads 22 years ago, my last bike was a 1996 Triumph 900 Daytona which died with a 148000 miles on it, I only put 52000 on it lol. I will probably end up picking brains at some point as this is the newest bike i have owned and the first fuel injected …

Hey everyone. My name is Jesse. I'm quite excited to have found this website. I currently have two pre 1983 Yamahas and could really use some help with them, so I figured I would join the site and see if I can get some help, and maybe throw my two cents in here and there....I'm more of a body work and paint kind of guy so expect to see me reply on any post pertaining to such a topic.

Just introducing myself as I'm new to the forums. I'm Paul, 28 yr old software engineer from Northern Ireland. Loved bikes all my life, but as usual one thing or another popped up either financially or time wise which meant I have only recently managed to get my full bike test on the 28th dec 2012. I'm I big lover of the big custom bike, the XVS range catching my eye instantly. Purchased an XVS 650 last week and picking it up this Saturday, weather permitting (sods law we have snow moving in the day I'm due to pick it up and ride it home). Yamaha club forums really caught my eye as the members seem really helpful and have alot of knowledge, I'm no mechanic bu…

Hey Everyone. Well after looking for a long time for a very cheap dual sport bike project i got one. What I thought (or was told) was a 1983 DT125 turned out to be a 1986 DT50. It is missing the top end so still trying to figure out what to do with it, 70cc big bore kit, different engine, or part it out and get something else. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and there is quite a population of riders here so really looking forward to getting involved. This will be my first dirt/dual bike. I have previously had a 1984 Honda Interceptor 750 and a 1980 Yamaha XS1100 road bike. My other toy is a 78 VW westy Camper which ironically carries a bike quite nicely if you take t…

I'm new to the forum and full of questions about my new (old) 1975 DT125.. I have a lot of experience with two stroke 70's mopeds and belong to a moped gang from philadelphia. I currently hitched cross country to San Francisco and blew my savings on the first nice looking DT I found. Unfortunately it has just lost spark and I'm in the process of figuring out the much more complex wiring of a giant moped.

Hi guys! I'm a freshman in college who just got his first bike. I have ridden before on other bikes, but this is the first one that I can call mine. It's a 1989 FZR 400. I got it from my uncle after it had sat for years. He's now passed away, and I'm trying to restore it back to peak health! Glad to be here

Hey guys! I have introduced myself before, but it's been almost a year and I haven't really been here since, so I thought I would do it again! I currently ride a Yamaha YBR 125 with my 18 year old body (not really since the engine is broken atm..). I bought the bike almost not used (with 1600km on it) and it now has 24000km. On two years! I live in Oslo in the great state of Norway, therefore the somewhat gramatically fauled English. If anyone ever wants to contact me, my skype is Kristevj. Just to finish it of, great to be here!
