Hey guys, how's it going? Just joined the forum, I have a new to me 2002 XVS650. Sad side is I have had it for a couple weeks of some fun cruising/commuting to work and have taken a spill. Needless to say I have damaged some parts, I am getting a tank and fenders right now, but I do need to get handlebars and a front fork and lights. Going to a time project since I am out of work due to a broken wrist from the accident,

Hey I've already posted on the forum but I missed this section! I'm Dean from Manchester UK and I'm 17 currently in the progress of getting my test done! I have a Yamaha XT 125 R at the minute which isn't my favourite bike, but it'll do till I pass! Recently got my XT, beforehand I had a road legal pit bike which was really fun but... well it was chinease - but still fun because of its size! Only pic I have of my pitbike is whilst it was being built so there was a lot of bits hanging off: And heres one of me on my XT the day I got it: About to embark on a 2.5 hour trip from Birmingham to Manchester on a bike that does 65 flat out.…

Hey, I've been a member for a while, but life happened and the bike got put away before I could even ride it. My priorities have to change... Anyway, I've been reading the forum lately, and I'm anxious to get my 1970 R5 on the road! I cleaned it up a bit and did a few mechanical tasks, so she's getting there. I've got an electrical issue at this point, which is where my skill really tanks, so I hope to maybe get some input from you guys, and be in good shape. Thanks

Hey guys, New to the action, so just wanted to say hi!! Bit of background...... Been riding for just over a year now (including CBT time). Started on a cheap Chinese Skyjet 125, which I sold after about 2 months, seeing the error of my ways!! After this, I bought a wreck of an Aprillia RS125, stripped it to the bones and rebuilt it. My intention was to get off the L-plates ASAP, and the idea was that I would do my test on the RS after gaining enough road experience in order to save money overall.......proved difficult with all the red tape surrounding its suitability for test (couldn't provide "adequate" proof of restriction for the jobs-worth bloke at the test …

Hey everyone. New to bikes. New to riding. New to carburetors. Not new to fixing stuff. Been an auto mechanic officially for about 7years and been (trying) fixing stuff all my life. Always wanted a bike and just came into an 83 Yamaha Maxim. Hopefully will be on the road before the end of season but not if I cant get this fuel problem sorted out. If you think you can help, I have the problem posted in the tech forum... thx --LEo

Hows it going am a new biker passed my test this year and loving every minute being on two wheels, The unfortunate thing is I crashed last week on my fzs 600 and broke my collar bone. The good thing is that the bikes not that bad it will mend and so will I. Should get the bike sorted for less than £500 just a shame I'll need to spend at least that again on gear after the crash jacket helmet and trousers were wrecked but hey they kept me all together so money well spent..

Howdy all, My name is Rob, i'm from Ireland. Bought a Yamaha 1999 V-Star 650 Custom in December. First bike (other than a 6 month stint a few years back on a little Hyosung 125 over in Spain) and its taken me a few months to get properly commuting on it. I'm in a great group on Facebook (Bikers of Éire) with about 1200 really helpful bikers but i though i would join one where its more specific to my own make rather than just the banter of slagging everyone off who doesn't ride the same as you Anyway that just a quick intro. Later! -Rob

Hey all, i am relatively new to the motorbike scene, i have a 2010 YZFR 125. Recently the radiator coolant has decided to relocate its home to my cylinder chamber, i am going to strip it down and replace the gaskets, fingers crossed its all it requires, but do yall have any advice on what else should be replaced at the same time. Engine oil seems to be coolant free for now, just changed the engine oil and filter 20 miles before this happened. Grrrrrr i have also replaced the spark plug at the service. so apart from the obvious engine gasket set what are other parts do yall think i should replace.

Latecomer to the forum world here, Did my CBT and got on in February 2012 with a Yamaha YBR as my trusty steed, but only now really starting to come into my own with taking it more seriously and riding out regularly. I started out in the countryside and moved to Bristol only a month after doing my CBT so it's been a massive learning curve and I'm just waiting to put aside enough to pass my full test (no small feat these days with all the financial doom and gloom!). Finally sorting my lovely bike with a proper service and getting on the road good and proper- the YBR's been a pleasure to ride so far

Hello all, my name is Jeff. I've owned Yamahas since '84. My first was an '82 Seca Turbo, that was a FUN bike with a capital GO! Next was an '02 Warrior, can you say 'Hot Rod'? I now have a '12 FJR, yet to reach the 600 mile mark so no romping yet. Next year I'll be heading out on a two month motorcycle camping tour of the US. I look forward to reading up and getting to know you. Jeff
