Hey guys, My names Andrew and would you believe I'm new I initially joined just to get some technical information about my bike, a TDR 125 but from reading the forums for awhile I imagine I'll be sticking around. People here seem friendly and knowledgeable. Would also be interested to know if any members are from the sheffield area and go on group rides that may be 2T 125 friendly

Hi to everyone. I just wanted to try and get it right now and start with the intro rather than the problem. I'm a forty something born again biker. I go with the "if the cap fits, wear it" outlook! In my teens I had a Honda 50, a Suzuki GP100 and a Kawasaki AR125 but passed my bike and car test within a few weeks of each other and went straight into cars and missed out on having a proper bike first. I'm now trying to put that bit right. I was advised to start with something nice and steady like an XJ600 which I got for a few hundred quid. It ran for a month and then nothing - but thats for a different section. I'd like to ride this for this summer before g…

Hello, everyone! I'm from California, USA and am a Yama-nut, like most of you. It all started when I went to the track for the first time, back in '97 with my Honda CB1000. The next day, and although that is a magnificent bike for its intended purpose, she was traded for a '97 YZF750 the very next day; possibly, one of the best handling bikes of all time, IMHO. Just a year later, I was hankering for some more 'go' and fuzzy little pics of what we all thought was the 750's replacement surfaced. I ran to the dealer and plunked down a deposit. Whatever it was, I wanted it. A few weeks thereafter, the news broke about what Yammie was really up to! In addition to…

Hi, I'm Ollie, I'm 16 and I am hopefully going to soon own a 1982 Yamaha DT 125. I own several classic British motorcycles such as Matchless, Greeves, AJS, Velocette and Triumph. I will be making a post on the Yamaha after this so any help and advice would be great. Thanks, Ollie.

Evening all! I'm George from Uxbridge in London, recently bought a YBR-125 with the intention of learning on this and moving onto bigger and better things early next year. Perfect time of year to start riding... I'm sure you've never seen a stock one before so here is a photo of the beast (apologies for the shocking quality): Plan is to keep it stock, moving onto something a bit bigger (considering an SV650/R6 - with more experience obviously!) before my CBT runs out next spring. I ride (push) bikes a bit, into mountain biking (XC) and a bit on the road, plus recently attempted a CX race, so anyone who wants to meet up for a ride gimme a sh…

Hi everyone. My name is Noel, most people call me Noely (Since my username is almost always NoelyDeezNutz) I just started riding 2 months ago, purchased a brand new 09 Honda Rebel and have been putting miles on it like crazy (Almost 1,500) I am pretty mechanically inclined. I recently picked up a 1979 xs750 Special. The previous owner did a lot of his own work, and not a very good job with it. So I came here to seek the advice of people who know the bike better than I do. This is going to be my winter project, so I am trying to do ALL of the work myself. Use it as a learning experience as well as something that, when finished, I can be proud to say "I did ever…

Hi! Thought is introduce myself, Ive just today shook hands on a purchase of a Yamaha ms50e from 1985! This will be the 2nd bike I've owned, the first being a Peugeot speed fight (yuk) which I hated! I also drive a citroen 2cv, and I bought the bike as a run around, and to enjoy! Even if it may only be a 50cc!

My name is Andrew and i am from kent, uk i am on a restricted licence with 11 months to go before i can ride bigger bikes! i have a yamaha 88/89 fzr 400 exup that i really enjoy, she done a lot of miles so im restricting to ride on good days and planning to make her smart in coming months, as the condition is deterioating a bit. i must admit i did plan to sell her but every time i take the cover off to clean i couldnt do it. so she staying with me for a long time i hope. also i have a kawasaki gpz 305 which i use as a commuter nice bike but not as good as the yamaha, poor build quality i would say but very good on fuel in times like this. this is only reason. ha…

Hello everyone, just a way of introduction: I'm Matthew, 32, and I've been riding a YBR125 for about a year but I have my Direct Access scheduled next month (can't wait!) and an XJ6 Diversion F on order with my local Yamaha dealer. I cover quite a few miles commuting into central London and back. I've always liked the idea of getting a bike, but having endured the commute into the capital by train, it finally pushed me into getting on two wheels. Matt.

Hi everybody, I'm Jay, I just recently purchased a XT125X for a winter bike / project, it's a project because I didn't pay a lot for it so its not in the greatest condition, and the guy who I purchased it from was a very young lad who had been messing about with it quiet a lot. It will be my winter bike as I have a Honda CBR 600 that I ride the rest of the year, I'm relatively new to riding so this will be my first year riding through winter so I have started off with the bike that I think will be perfect for the winter months. Can't wait to get going!

Hi just a quick hello really, I'm new to two wheels, freshly CBT'ed and bought an XVS 125, absolutely loving it, cruisin' albeit slowly round the peak district. I've done a fair bit of auto mechanics but new to bikes so any advice would be gratefully received and of course I'll try and pass on bits I learn as I pick it up. Ciao for now ST
