Am in the process of buying an XJ900F and taking it on as a project. It looks pretty good for its age, and will benefit from some tlc. In a previous life, I did some miles on TR2B. Great fun but those days are long gone now. Anyway, just thought I'd say hello.

I didn't intend to start riding. Honestly, I really didn't. Two months ago I was quite happy with my car. I've been driving since 1978 and never been particularly interested in cars other than as a tool to get from A to B. So what happened ? My 17 year old daughter decided that she didn't want to take up the driving lessons she was offered for her birthday, instead she announced that what she wanted was a scooter. Cue horrified looks from her mother and I (and also it turns out from all her friends many of whom tried to dissuade her), but he stuck to her decision and in March this year I took her along to do her CBT at a local bike school. Hi never used this stuff before so can someone tell me if it is safe to put on the front forks,does it not affect the front seals in any way.I have heard some great things about this stuff so if it,s o.k i will definitely be getting some even at the price it is,sounds like it will be well worth it if it,s o.k to put on the forks

Hey Everyone, Im new to this forum. Have just purchased a 59 plate XJ6N. Picked it up today actually. Really nice ride home and then I went out on a nice route with a friend who has a bandit. Currently thinking about upgrading the tail side fairings (to body coloured (yellow in my case)), fitting a tail tidy, some nice levers and maybe handlebars. Really happy with the bike. Much faster and more comfortable than my MT-03. I live in the Chester area of England, UK. Adam_Fozz

Hi, I've added an XJ900S Diversion to the garage and, after a bit of Googling, found the YOC. I've been looking for shaft drive bike for quite a while now to commute to work on, no real options out there apart from the Divvy and the Honda Deauville, and not that many in my price range. Finally found one yesterday and splashed the cash this morning on a 2000 model. Looking forward to riding it, looking after it and tinkering with it. Hopefully the Triumph Explorer won't get jealous and will share the love

Hi All, Just joined the owners club but do not have a Yamaha myself Son in Law just got ripped off when buying a 1993 SR125 it lasted 7 miles before stopping I've been working on it for 2 weeks, not much on it that was working properly Advertised as daily commuter bike just taxed and tested.... NO Chance The newest motorcycle that I had worked on was my 1986 Silverwing so 1993 is getting really modern for me. So this seems to be a nice little 125 that is pretty easy to understand List of faults as long as my arm but I'm getting there and actually enjoying working on it All the Best Ade

I paid up my membership so i could sell my YZ80K however does anybody know if the classifieds are used as i'm the only one with an advert on? or do i need some kind of permission to use the classifieds ? . Does any user on the site know how to go about it ? I tried emailing the site staff but I've had no response from both mails

hi all, i'm planning a 6 month van touring trip of the US and will put a dual sport bike on the back of the van for local trips, etc. i'll be camped in some wilderness areas so need some light off road ability and also plan to drive into town for shopping. i like the xt225 and have seen 3 bikes here for sale: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/mca?autoMakeModel=xt225 the 2, 2006 and the 2007 all of which look nice i am thinking $2500 max for the 2007 and $2000 for the 2006 with 11000 miles. any thoughts on these bikes? anything i should be on the look out for? how is the price on these? thanks

Aerox 2011 fuel injected but new exhaust does not have the fitting for the fuel injected bit on the exhaust what to do ?????

have put new piston rings ect, new spark plug , new coil , got spark , fuel and good compression but will not start ???? any ideas

Hi I have a aerox 50 lc 06 I got seconded had in a state and rebuild it up spent a fair bit on panels and bits to get it sorted when getting it running the head lights are dim and when rev brighten up I have had a new battery on and is showing full charge I have put a earth straight from the negative side of the battery to the frame think I may be a earth problem I have a TNT aftermarket headlight on it don't sure if this would cause it sins I got it for my model also my speedo has just gone not sure if this a related problem any help would be great

Hi My sons Aerox loses power when warm (after about 10mins) before that runs well, accelerates well etc. there is no backfiring or stuttering. It's had new piston rings, new belt , new variator, new clutch, new choke, new reed valves and new air box and filter !! Any ideas would be great fully appreciated as this has now become a quest for e to sort this out !!!

first hello every 1 my names Richard (tractorboy) iv just got a yamaha aerox 50 and put a 70 bore kit on and a sha 14/14 carb.when bikes moving its fine runs nice. but when it comes to starting it up it takes ages will not start with choke eather and i can not get it to tick over eather the screw dont do nothing. any 1 know what i could try.

i braught a yamaha yq 100 aerox and the previous owner has put a stem and handle bar conversion kit and a blue led light up above the rear wheel he also has took of clock and surrounding including indicaters of and speedo cable of, it starts and runs fine but horn, electric start, brake lights, indicaters (rear) all seem to be dead the light switch on the left seems to control front lower light and rear light on or off but no dull or brighter i have changed fuse by the battery and charged battery has anyone got any ideas thanks im new to this i would apreciate any help many thanks

Would bike run if piston was wrong way around?
