Newbie so be gentle .. 40yrs young and love my bikes and I've had a few in the past newest one is a project moped which started as a bet and grown from there in fact it's why I've come to join the group as looking for some advise on tuning or identifying what work the yamaha jog lc has undergone. I know nothing about these peds only that it has apparently had a mid race kit ?? 3.5 mallosi rollers carbs been up jetted and has a yasuni pipe all of which means bugger all to me hence the reason to fill my brain with as much wisdom from you guys as poss bike does start and ride but once off auto choke it seems to bog down and needs to be revved or it dies ?? Mixture screws bee…

Hello Everyone, just wanted to say hi! Anyone had an engine cut out/electrical failure/stalling when hot problem? Doesn't appear to be the fuses, as a previous post I read suggested. I think it might be something to do with the safety cut off system or kill switch. Any advice welcomed.

I just recently found out about this forum. Great stuff! I have been riding, working, and racing motorcycles for many years and decided, about 3 years ago, to start restoring old Yamahas, specially the ones I had when I was a kid. Just finished a 75 XS650B, working on a 79 XS750F and just purchased a 76 XS500C. Not a profit thing. Just a passion for the old stuff. Garage is space is vanishing quick. :-)

Hello i have just bought a 2008 R1 in blue with gold alloys. Got what i think is a good deal. 4580 on the clock, with Akra sp series, i think its an official yam double bubble screen, tail tidy, rear light with built in indicators and brand new corsa III for £6500. Im coming from a ZX6R 2007 model and have tried two different R1's a 2007 which felt jerky and unresponsive, and the 2008 that i have bought which was smooth and fun to ride. Is anyone going to the thundersprint
