Hello peeps, i have a 93 plate 535 with a small issue and am looking for help. inside the cover where the stator/alternator is are a series of wires whch are surrounded by a rubber gromit type seal which stops the oil fromk leaking out. Unfortunately this seal needs replacing, I have tried to repair it but i need a replacment. Thye problem is i dont know what its called and Ebay dont have any matches. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Fatlad74

Hi. I just registered and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Matt. I'm working on restoring a 1978 DT175E - It's just like the bike I had 20 years ago when I was a teenager. I'm cartainly no mechanic, in fact I often wish I was better, so that is part of my thinking on restoring a 34 year old bike - to develope some more mechanical skills and to live out my memories of the days before my back and knees hurt. Anyway - I jumped right into a techncal (kind of) question in the Yamaha Workshop forum and got a super quick answer from what turned out to be a mod. (I think I'm going to like this place.) and now I thought I better go back and introduce myself properly…

hello my name is Jeremy and i live near Downham Market and i have a 1988 dt125r which sadly cannot go on the road due to having the frame damaged at some point in its life so i have rebuilt it and converted it for motocross. My second bike is a 1990 yz 250 which i am soon going to start to rebuild to its former glory. The last bike is a 1989 yz 250 which i use for motocross but that needs a full rebuild as well. At the moment i have no need for a road bike as i am not old enough so i am investing in all the old yamaha 2 strokes.

Hello everyone! I passed my unrestricted UK motorcycle licence test a couple of weeks ago, and am now the proud owner of a new (old!) 1997 XVS 650 DragStar. Here's a photo: I've already removed the crash bars and footboards and put the stock pegs back on. I'm thinking of starting a thread in the "projects" forum, basically to record my efforts at attempting to become a bit more mechanically savvy, and to try to put right that various bits and bobs which need doing on the bike. Do you think there would be any interest in that? Talking of which, if anyone wants to check out my post in the "cruiser" forum, I would appreciate some help with som…

Hi all, Thought I'd better introduce myself to you. I'm Colin, aged 61 going on 24 and have been riding for over 40 years. My present ride is a Fazer FZS600 and I have to say it's probably the best bike I have ever owned. It does everything from scratching to touring and does it well (apart from the numb bum after about 2 hours). I ride all year round and do about 10000 miles on a mixture of roads and it very seldom lets me down. I'll add to my profile, photos etc when I get some time. I'm at work at present (yes, working like a slave thank you very much). It's just that I'm unusual in that I'm a male who can multitask - just ask the wife. I can listen to her and slee…

Slightly worried about matchin the flame paint..! Lol..!

HI! My names Paul but everyone normaly calls me Mellon (its my surname). I'm completly new to bikes but have just bought a cracking YBR125 ready to go for when i get my provisional through the door, try my hardest at the CBT and lay down some insurance . Gotta say though i'm a little nervous since my dad (life long biker) fills me with countless horror storys of what happens if you dont get it right. (I'm pretty glad he's around to help me with this though). So... A little bit about me. I'm 23 years old, a bit of a gamer, and like music. I live in Teeside and i'm joining because i know theres gonna be allot to learn and other than my dad i may have some extra back…

So long story long I moved to France from Spain because of work issues and I never really had much money so I couldn't get any type of license, in France things are going a bit better but biking is.. not the best thing in the world to get from A to B let's say, so I decided to start small and do the 50cc license (I've always liked bikes but from 0 to a 500kg bike I rather get some experience first) So I purchased a Yamaha DT 50 R about a week ago (I like having to shift gears and a scooter won't do that for me) and I'm trying to make her look somewhat decent because the previous owner had a little.. slide with it let's say I'm trying to look for some fairing but I'm havin…
