Hello my name is Jake and I am from the US. I have recently rescued a DT 125 from a scrap metal pile. I really would like to get it running and be able to ride around the farm and check on cows. I hope, with help from this community, to be able to do that. Thanks, Jake

Hi, Just joined, looks like the place to come for any Yam related. Just bought a 2nd hand xj6s 2010, which is a bit of a jump down from my previous bike, but hopefully more usable on a daily basis. Look forward to contributing where I can. Lincol

Hi everyone, I've just joined today and posted in the Workshop section and was prompted to say hello here too! I've been biking for quite a long time, but always on L plates. Every time I've been close to taking my test, something has got in the way. I've done my CBT quite a few times now! I have quite a lot of city riding experience (commuting to work, and taking lessons) but hardly any experience outside a 40mph limit. Only had one accident in all these years, which was 18 months ago, and put me off riding for a bit. I've only owned one bike. I've had my trusty SR125 for 7 years now (just got a fright when I counted that up and realised how long I've had him!). …

I currently own an R6 and have previously owned an ExUp, an RD350, a couple of FS1E's during a mis-spent youth along with a selection of Suzuki's Hondas and the odd Kwaka. Ive been obsessed by bikes since my early teens nearly 40 years ago. The reason for my addiction stems from seeing a GT80 while living abroad in the '70's owned by a rich schoolmate and I've always said if I ever saw one for sale I'd have it. As you probably know they're not too common on the streets of West London but at last someone on the Bay imported one from the states and so here we are. Its pretty tatty, missing all the lights and electrics, and silver but I'm aiming to make it exactly like t…

Hi everyone My names Luke. I'm new to the forum and new to biking. Just done my CBT and waiting for my new YBR 125 to arrive. Just a commuter for now but already planning on doing my test so I can take off those L plates. Perfectly happy getting some road experience on the 125 first though, I'm in no rush at all. That'll do for now. Hopefully an adequate intro. Cheers

As requested putting a hello message in here. Did my DAS at the end of last year and current running around from time to time on a 1996 BMW F650 Funduro. Quite fun and seems reliable but will only ever be a stepping stone. Ultimate goal is a blacked out Harley Fat Boy with probably a few mods but considering swapping the F650 for a XVS650 cruiser as an interim to get me used to the cruiser life until I've saved enough pennies for the Fat Boy and rebuilt our garage so I have somewhere to keep it dry! Posted some questions in the Cruiser / Custom section about the XVS650 if there is someone that can help :-) Thanks Chris.
