thanks for accepting me in this club, I do have a problem though, I have bought a pair of cast RD200 wheels to fit to my 1981 RS200 and am having a couple of issues with the rear wheel , firstly are the brake drums the same on the RS and the cast RD wheel and secondly ,even though I have sorted out the swingarm having one spindle slot that is too big due to the use of cush drive on original wheel and the fact that the rd spindle is shorter , I am struggling to get spacers or even sizes of spacers so that I can fit the wheel to the bike, can anyone help?? thanks

Hi fellow Yam oners. This is my first time here. I have an '89 FJ1200 3CV. Last year I toik it off the road for a liitle care and attention. I made a note of some wiring "alterations" by the previous owner/owners and subsequently lost it. I am really useless with electrics and would like to ask if there is anyone in the Plymouth area who could give me some of their time and knowledge to get her running. I would be eternally grateful. Thanks.

Hi all, many years ago when my ankle biters were due, the FJ1200 had to go to pay for a Renault (sorry) I would really like to trace it and if it's in one piece maybe buy it back, does anyone know where it is / if it's still on the road. I sold it to a guy in Portsmouth. It's reg is G131 MAG and it was midnight blue and i wish i'd never sold it!!

I would like to say hi and then more importantly why i need help. I have 73 pictures so far of what i have got myself into. But first about me. I have one class left at the.community college where i will have an auto motive service degree. Yes you can get one. I did that because i wanted to learn the correct way. I have made quite a few bikes sing again. My first and pride and joy is my 75 Kawasaki triple. I bought it for 125 dollars not running but complete. My father helped me quite a bit but within a week i had new points and condensors. It fogged out the road. 2 stroke oil that hasnt burned in 27 years is nasty....times 3. Anyway, im doing this on my phone so ple…

Hi Folks, Just a wee intro since I've finally got round to joining the owners club. I've been a biker since I passed my test at the end of september last year and went out and bought an '09 Divvy the same day. I've been out in pretty much everything the great Scottish weather has thrown at me (apart from that month long snow and ice fest we had). I basically have wanted a bike most of my life but always felt it was too dangerous or I was too wee for a bike (I'm 5ft 8" by the way). A couple of biking friends had been nudging me to give it a try and eventually I took a backie on a Honda Deauville and that was it the bug bit me and a few months later (plus some tria…

Hi and Happy New Year to all! I am not a bike owner now (self imposed ban - not wanting to be a hypocrite to my sons!) but promised to try finding some information about a Yam 125 for my middle son who has got an old banger for his farm work. Lambing season is nearly upon us and he is having to cover a very wide area, hence the bike. I hope you all don't mind me registering for this reason. Chris

Hiya there guys, I picked up a little 08 YBR 125 in early summer, good nick and runs very well, had an issue with the fuel pump in the summer but other than that its been solid, have been loving it commuting to work every day even with winter drawing in. Issue is i commute early mornings, leaving the house at 6am its already pitch black, i commute on mostly unlit 60mph b roads, which called attention to the very poor headlight. I'm having to slow down considerably, other cars don't notice me all the time,my stomach is in my throat untill i get back into the land of streetlamps. Its the ba20d fitting, i upgraded the lamp to a ring halogen, which is a little brigh…

I acquired an 82 Maxim XJ650 about 3 months ago. Been riding like crazy since. Love this bike. Hit my first big hiccup. I have a hole in my right exhaust pipe. Very close to the back passenger peg but on the bottom of the pipe. The hole is about quarter sized and it has a crack that goes up the side of the pipe about 3". I doubt this is patch-able. It's not rideable. I tried. It sounds awesome but rides like sh*t. Feels like I'm out of gas. That being said, I need a cost effective replacement. My only dilemma is that this bike is in amazing shape. This small rust hole is the ONLY rust spot on the entire bike. The left pipe looks perfect. Granted, the inside of the pipes c…

Howdy, New biker with an old bike. Went for a YBR125 after a bit of looking about. Its a 58 plate and I've ridden it twice now! Braving the Baltic weather and taking it easy. Only ever ridden 50cc scooters around central London before: a Vespa pk50 and a dodgy Chinese thing that topped out at 25mph. Have no clue how to look after a bike but am keen to learn on the job. I have visions of one day coasting around the world on a massive cruiser with fat wheels, but one step at a time: I need to learn to ride. Cheers.
