Hi All I'm Neil and although I signed up a couple of weeks ago, this is the first chance I've had to sit and write an intro of sorts. After my car insurance was due last month I decided that it wasn't worth paying £500 or so to just drive a couple of miles to the station and back so I started looking for a cheap bike to buy. After being outbid on Ebay for a lovely Fs1e I wondered about doing my CBT. A chance visit to the ATC squadron where my son's a cadet I had a look at the staff sergeant's YB100 sitting in the garage. He kept it there so his mrs. didn't know he had it but it hadn't moved for about 6 months due to no MOT. A quick chat and a new ruling from…

Hi all Just picked up a great little barn find, DT175G 1980, which I'm hoping to have some fun on using TET mostly. Owned all manner of Yamaha's over the years, but never did have one of these - just admired them from afar. Needs a bit of TLC, but overall great condition and have got her up and running (neutral still a bit hard to find (LOL). No number plate or V5 though, so scratching my head a bit about how I get her back on the road. Gather I need to complete a V55 to register, but need some authority to sign off on the year, verify it is what I'm saying it is etc? Anyone got any advice as to best approach to take forwards and get V5? Thanks

Hey peeps! I’m Nic, just picking up my new Yamaha YS 125 at 3pm, wanted to find people i can actually talk to! My main question is, when you go to the shop.... what do you lock your bike up with? I don’t fancy carrying a massive padlock and chain in a bag on my back everytime. Any advice would be great :)

Well here I am introducing myself. Hmm, let's see - 1. Old, very old but still love riding bikes. Have had all types from BSA to Harleys to a superblackbird but love my xjr 'cos I can cruise or burn boy racers. 2. Yes, well, burning boy racers. Not so much now 'cos brain is only just keeping up with speed hahahaha. 3. We now live in Brittany. Decided to retire early from teaching in the UK (Wales) before I committed murder. 4. Her indoors enjoys riding pillion. I enjoy her as pillion because I can't hear her moaning. Shame they don't make intercoms for xjr's. No - they don't!! 5. Can't think of anything else except I have serious prob with bike. Will post quiery…
