Hi I'm Lee. 20 y/o student from Derbyshire, UK. I had a moped when I was 16, and a lil PY90 when I was about 13! I'm a complete noob to bikes but would love to get my head around them while I'm still young.. Passed my car test 2 years ago, but still cant afford to insure.. Going to redo my CBT soon and am on the look out for a starter bike. I was thinking about getting a cheap 125 for now and run that on L plates until I'm 21 and then take the test so I'm not limited to a 33bhp bikes for 2 years. So for now, been looking at a few 125s. Cheapest I've found are the SR 125's and I think they have the potential to give me some experience in maintaining etc. I'v…

Hi everyone im new to the forum. Im Chris, 27 from Benfleet in Essex. Got a 2000 Virgao XV125, had it since September. Nice bike and runs well...until the other day. Had a ride from Benfleet to Stambridge via Southend (about 25 miles), all was well until I stopped the bike briefly (literally 2 minutes) and when I tried starting it again there was just a electrical cyclical sound coming from what I think it the starter motor! Had to bump start it to get it home. topped up battery with distilled water, cleaned connections to battery and went to charge it but charger read that battery was full. Being a newb to anything bike related I really dont know the next step without ta…

Hi everyone! As a father to a teenage son that is now in his second year of biking, I would like to introduce the pair of us. He has just got rid of his Chinese plastic pig and recently bought an xt125r that is poorly - more of that later. To be fair to the pig, it got him to college everyday, a round trip of 25 miles and allowed him to carry out the so called "twat laps", I guess these are the constant loops around the local town to pose??? Glad I didn't do things like when I was young. I have owned and worked on bikes for many years now and let me cast my mind back to recall....... NSU quickly, FS1E, RD250, DT175, DT175MX, RD350 p/valve, GPZ 650, DR650, FMX65…

Newbe to forums that is. Hi all. Just joined the forum in the hope of finding an MT 03 660 community. I recently bought a 2006 MT 03 after being off the bike for 10 years or so. Not my first Yamaha, I started out on a TZR 125 and had a 250 LC for many years. Then went out into the wilderness with a couple of Ducati Monsters. However, wanted a gentle re introduction to bikes without the Italian service regime. Didn't even know these bikes existed until I realised I couldn't afford an XSR700 right away and started looking further afield. The idea of the YAM 660 single in a little road bike was too tempting to pass up and I found a nice low miles one for sensible m…

Hello people,, Like all of you here i have a keen intrest in bikes, i currently own a Xj600n soon to be turned into a Cafe Racer. I have owned her for about 18months amd find it very comfy and all im all a nice solid bike however its yellow!! I have been toying the idea of getting a respray then thought i wonder what else could be done to her. After flicking through the internet found aome lovely examples pf cafe racers made out of the humble xj600, i have always liked the idea of something different and altho many may see the streetfighter as a more natura mod i think it may be more style over substance for the xj.. I have a thread going asking for any advice fro…
