Hi everyone, seems like there are more than a few small displacement yamaha owners here so I thought I would join up and see i I can get some help with mine. I'm picking up what I think is a yamaha YB100 on the weekend and it needs a few small things to make it a little safer on the road. first of all, can anyone tell me if I'm right about the model name? I've seen bikes similar to this call a whole bunch of different things so I want to make sure I'm getting the right parts for it. I'm in canada if that helps identify it. second, tire recommendations? third, where can I get brakes, carb rebuild kit, and fork seals? thanks!

Hello, my name is Andy and I have visited this website quite frequently in the past as a spectator. I am active duty military and have the pleasure of being stationed at Minot AFB, ND. Thanks to the obnoxiously long winters and large amounts of snow we get about 3-4 "good" riding months a year. I have years of experience with "old" dirt bikes and enduros. I'm not gonna lie, I registered mostly to use the search function... Today I bought a 1980 SR250 for $25 (the guy charged 10 cents per CC, ) and am looking for as much info (wiring diagram, manuals, etc.) as i can get. Although, now that i am a member hopefully I can provide some helpful posts from time to …

Hi everyone, My name is Brian. I live in North Vancouver BC and am the proud new owner of a 1980 sr250. I work as a machinist and also fabricate custom bicycle frames. I spent over twenty years in the bicycle industry working mostly as a product developer/ industrial designer bringing World Cup Downhill Race bikes to life. I love metal, combustion, exhaust and suspension of any kind and hope to use some of my resources to customize my new motorcycle. This is the first motorcycle forum I have been part of and hope to share some 'Exciting' build shots and hopefully trade some tips and tricks with fellow forum users. Thanks for reading my post Brian

Hi New to the forum so go easy if its a dense question! I recently bought a 2003 XVS 125 and although in good condition elsewhere, there is quite distinct cracking in the tyre walls front and back. Any 125 Dragstar riders out there able to offer a suggestion of a good tyre to replace them. The Yamaha dealer has suggested steering clear of Continental? I don't really know much when it comes to tyres, but I commute 30 miles daily in all weathers and do longer distance over the weekends. Any suggestions??? Thanks. Dom

Hi All. Another newbie! SWEET! Anyway, I'm here because i took the plunge and bought my first bike. I'm at stage four of my third midlife crisis and just have a couple more hurdles, then skydiving to go. I don't guess this is the correct place to front a bunch of amateur questions, so I will wander off to a more appropriate section and start annoying those more knowledgeable than me. Its wonderful to meet you all.

Hi all, A riding buddy mentioned this forum and its usefulness in finding cool new things for the FZ-07. I'm a Yamaha fan at heart, so thought I'd join up. Owned two R6's in the past. Current bikes are a red 2015 FZ-07 and a "raven" 2016 Super Ténéré ES, which I just picked up. I'm itching to go on some long rides. Looking forward to seeing what's around here! You can see more of me and my bikes on Instagram and YouTube.

Hi Users , Thought i would register instead of browsing after all i may need help at some point! Previous bikes have been the YBR 124, WR 125 (just sold ) and my new DTR 125 which i am due to pick up in the next 48 hours! Getting a DT as my WR 125 4 stroke had no punch to it at all and even 60Mph was a struggle to hit so i have been pondering on the idea of a 2 stroke for sometime and finally took the plunge only issue is i have never owned one before, anyone have any tips for first time 2 stroke owners in regards to general care of them? ie oil etc Im just used to putting petrol in my previous 4 strokes lol. A bit about me well... im from co…

Hey guys, Just treated myself to my first cruiser....a 1991 Yamaha XV535 Virago.....matte black in colour and in need of TLC but I wanted a project that I could put my own stamp on while also commuting to work each day...and with this beauty, job done! Previously I'd been a sports bike man (Ducati's etc) but have fell in love with Harley's recently..due to family committments I could afford the £4k for a Harley so decided to try a cheaper cruizer and shelled out £775 for my Virago. I'm having a few issue with it starting in the morning.....the first two days I had it it was open to the elements and chose not to start after getting wet.....after getting home from …

im from Suffolk in the united kindom done a full nut and bolt restorating everything but the the engine it has uprated crank, 80cc bore kit, 28mm carb with race reed valve and air filter, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a few questions ( im not a mechanically minded person ) Because of the carb the fuel is pre mixed with two stroke The oil pump requires a blanking plate, but the thats where the retract is for the throttle? Il turn the fuel on and the carb will overflow and start leaking petrol, ive checked and the floats arnt getting stuck, ( may that have something to do with the throttle?) And the gear shift is very stiff regardless of doing it …
