Hey all, I am new to this forum, joined because I just acquired a 1978 XS 400 from my dad. It was his old bike and hasnt ridden it for 20+ years so I asked if I could have it. Now its my job to restore it and then I want to mod it into a cafe racer. I have 4 years of riding experience. I started with a 2006 Honda CBR 600RR, got hit on that so now I have a 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 and love it! I cant wait to get into my build and really learn about it all as I go along. I want to get it in inpsectable condition first so I can get it tagged easier. Edit: Here are some pics of it in my dads shed. It was left in that spot since the last day he rode it and noth…

  10. Hello, My names Richie saying Hi from Blackpool! Inherited a 1968 Yamaha DT-1 250. She needs a lot of loving but i'm aiming to do a complete restoration. My grandad has owned her from new but unfortunately she was laid up to rest after some issues. She was ridden back from Saudi in the late 80's and hasn't been used since (Although she isn't seized ). My dad has been riding for years and throughout my childhood I attended many rallies and events i just dont ride myself, hopefully after the DT1 is restored that will be the next step. Well hope to meet and chat with most of you guys as i'm pretty sure if i get stuck one of you will be able to help. …

  12. Hey, Greg here from WNY, hoping to meet some people on here that can help educate me on my motorcycle. I have a '77 xs360 that has seen better days, but it still runs and looks pretty good for its age. Clearly been dumped a couple times (before I owned it), and needs some lovin'. I only paid $30 for it, and put maybe $300 into a new battery, cleaning it out, rebuilding the carbs, etc. I love the fact that everything I have personally done to fix this little pony was done using either the tools it came with or my swiss army knife, lol. Anyway, wanted to post on here to say hi to everyone and hope that I can start learning more and someday know enough to help out future …

Hey everyone, I just got my second Yamaha enduro, and I know from previous experience building my first bike (a Honda cb650) that forums are a crucial source of experience when trying to nail down certain things that might not be specific enough to be covered in a manual, or too old to find parts for. I picked up an 82 XT200 a few months ago. No papers, but it holds up well off road... well enough for my needs anyway haha. Then, a week ago, I had an opportunity to trade off a blown up Suzuki for a 1978 DT175, almost complete with 2 parts motors. Needless to say, I made the trade! Now here I am. Looking forward to learning lots, and contributing where I can! Chee…
