Hello, I am posting on behalf of my dad who is the actual owner, but as he is 86 he is obviously not a computer type person! He is having a few issues with this newest acquisition and I would like to try and get him a few decent answers. He is a great enthusiast of classic bikes, and has had many over the years. In addition to the CS1, at the moment he has a Moto Guzzi V50 500cc, BSA C15 250cc, Honda Benley 185cc and he gave me a BMW R60/600 10 yrs ago....does that get him a little bit of respect? We would love to hear from anyone who could help with- throttle cables fitting and running on one cylinder and spewing oil out of exhaust!

Hi guys- thanks for allowing me to join your club. I go by the name of curtie o and currently have a very original 1991 Yamaha DT200R. The old girl is certainly in need of some tlc and the coastal air of South Africa has taken a toll on her metal bits over the years but she’s sweet and with a rebuild planned, should be looking as good as new next year. Hopefully I may be able to pick like minded people and owners of these classic bikes for future tips on restoration and for acquiring the much sought after , now discontinued Yamaha original parts or very good OEM parts.

Hi there! happy to be part of this owners forum.. it can be a little lonely on the road, especially when you are a new rider and there's so much to learn! I live in Auckland, New Zealand and there's plenty of excellent places to explore. I LOVE my first bike.. its a Yamaha 2010 V-Star 250... I am really attracted to Yamaha cruisers (Harley's just dont do it for me for some reason)... theres just something about the styling which seem spot on to me. Im looking forward to learning more about road craft and maintenance and when I am off my Learner's in a couple of months I want to purchase an XVS650. Cheers! Dan

Just joinded yesterday & jumped straight in & asked a question about one of my Yamys. To introduce myself better, I am 56 & just love bikes especially historic racing machines. I also manage a web site for the Queensland Early Motorcycle Club www.qemsc.com.au & also manage a race event at Carnell Raceway called the Big Chill. I race a 1972 Honda CL350 & a 1900 Honda CBR250 but my other bikes are mostly Yamys. I have just bought a brand new XJR1300 which I just love & have a 1980 SR500 & a 1989 FZR600 which I use as a track day bike. Hoping someone can help with my fork oil enquiry on my SRV250.

I am the proud owner of a 1986 Yamaha Fazer FZX700 and its my first bike. I have ridden dirt bikes before and have always wanted a bike to ride around town and i got one given to me. Presently, its in rough shape but im working on it. Im pretty mechanically inclined but i dont know anything about motorcycles so this is a good test for me. anybody know how to put the gas cap back together on my bike? that thing is giving me a world of trouble. I live in ashland, oregon. I go to Southern Oregon University. If you are from the Rogue Valley and know bikes maybe you could give me a hand. That would be fantastic. anyways, i am gonna try to put it back together so if you h…

Hi everyone! My name is Diogo Guerra, 27, from Portugal and own a Yamaha XTZ 750. Since I was born with some kind of screw loose this bike was revamped for off-road use. Here she is (has seen better days though...) I also like dirt bikes (who doesn't?) but riding these mammoths off-road rather aggressively is a completely different feeling. Some of you will probably agree. JFK once said something about riding heavy bikes off-road, if I'm not mistaken: «We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things (ride mammoths), not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our en…
