After god knows how many years of not quite getting round to it I finally got round to getting my bike licence (which is now 4 days old). My YBR 125 custom will be picked up as soon as I can get to the dealer. Looking forward to getting to know the biking world (with a bit of help from this forum) and how to look after my new bike. Regards G

Hi Everyone, Just to introduce myself. I've just been very kindly donated a 1997 Dragstar 650 as a clean-it-up-and-get-it-started project in my shed. I'm not actively riding at the moment for health reasons, but hope to be able to take this bike around the block in the future. I have zero mechanical skills apart from lubing a chain - and I can't even do that on this bike! Well, first thing to do will be to get a new battery and sort out the fuses...but I'll get going with that on the other threads. So, this seems like a friendly forum and I look forward to finding step-by-step instructions on everything in these threads. Cheers.

Hey everyone, I am a new member. My name is Ryan. My wife and I both ride bikes. I have an 08 FZ1, and she rides an 01 YZF600R. Been riding on the street since 2004, but grew up on the dirt. Favorite place to ride is down around deals gap. Not big on the gap anymore due to all the traffic and cops since they put it on tv, but all the roads around it are great.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, and new to biking, on the road, anyway I'm starting with a 1989 DT175, which should give me a bit of fun and keep me out of too much trouble while learning. I'm wondering if anyone has a workshop manual they'd like to share for this bike, or knows where I could get one? Cheers, Nathan

Hi guys, I've been riding motorcycles since 2001, I've always loved Japanese bikes and had several of them in the past, always fuel injection so endless to say I never had to do any work on them and therefore don't really know the mechanics of it. I just bought a 1977 Yamaha xs400 which was restored. I did notice that once the bike is warm and on idle it tends to die (about 1500 rpm). If I choke it sometimes dies and sometimes goes to 3500rpm. Should I adjust the idle??? Or maybe have the carb recleaned??? Anyways it is great to be here and be part of the club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So i have a lot of bikes to keep me busy. Thanks for the help i already received from one of the members.

Hello People. Wee bit about me to begin. My username comes from my job & uniform colour. I work for the Scottish Ambulance Service on what is called The Urgent Tier. We basically take in doctors calls that are urgent but not emergencies( although we do them as well). The colour of my uniform is blue but I work with colleagues who wear green. Going back about 20 years my first bike was a Yamaha. A red RD125DX with chrome mudguards ! Loved that bike. My next bike was also a Yamaha. An XS400. It was the one that had a rectangle spine frame not the tubular frame. Haven't seen another like it since. Think it may have been called an XS400 Sport or something. Ha…

I just bought my first bike off my friend. It is a 1973 yamaha at3 125. It was running when i bought it and it also came with the title. I payed $700. I'm looking for a complete flasher assembly because it dose not have any and i want to make it street legal. I also need to replace the kickstart shaft assembly because it is missing teeth and is a pain to start up. If anyone can be of any help please let me know. Also, when i'm riding I keep hearing a clicking noise. I haven't taken it apart yet to see what's up because it doesn't have a gasket and is siliconed together, so i'm waiting till i get a kickstart assembly. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

Hello, I am completely new to this forum, Yamaha ownership and indeed geared bike ownership. I have dipped my toe in the water with the purchase of a 1981 XS250. This may or may not prove to be a smart decision. Currently it's not looking smart, at all! I've enjoyed 7 years of relatively hassle free scooter ownership/riding but decided it was high time to put my full licence to good use. I fear though that I should have checked this forum out in advance of buying the bike (how many bike owners feel like that I wonder!?!?). I posted the below elsewhere in the forum but in case it doesn't get picked up there, if anybody can help me out with the below, I'd be ver…

Hi I am a new member and new to bikes in particular. I am interested in purchasing a motorcycle and I need to get some info from the pro's. The bike i am currently looking at is a midnight virago 750 from 83'. Apparently the bike is in good condition with only one problem for a great price. I see they can gor for more than a 1,000 dolloars and this one is priced at 600. for a starter bike I think it is a steal but I have my concerns. A mechanics shop is selling it and can't really tell me all I want to know about it. I have been told it has issues when it runs and the mechanic thinks that since the carborators have been cleaned as well as the gas tank that the problem may…
