Hello all, I'm Vincent from TX and is new to the motorcycle world. I recently purchased a 71 Yamaha CS3 200cc, I love the vintage look and thought this would be a good starter bike, which lead me to this forum hoping to meet some nice people and find some good tips.

  9. Hey all. I dont really know what i'm getting myself into here but i drug my dads old yamaha out of a barn earlier because i'd like to get it running this summer. The thing hasnt started in my lifetime that i remember (23 years) but it seems to be in good shape. I can assume the gaskets are rotted and gone, all fluids are bad, battery shot. To my surprise tho i was able to pop it into neutral and back into gear, also i stomped the kick start and could hear it pump and it jumped forward. The first question I have is how to read the vin because i have no information on the bike. The vin is ct1 104527, i think, ive read quite a few decoding sites that only do 17 digits and so…

Hey, Haven't had a bike in a long time and in the matter of a few short weeks I now have 3... all yamaha's a 78 dt 125 and 2 80ish 400s The 125 runs like a champ... one of the 400s is a runner but they both need some work. Nice to find a place like this. My first bike was a 80 xs 400... it ran very well and I have many a fond memory of riding it. Looking forward to making a bunch new memories with my son that is just now learning how to ride.

Hi all, new to the forum, been biking about a year. Currently live in Norfolk UK. Cut to the point....I need new mirrors for my xt 125 x 07. I hate the genuine ones that are round and am looking for different ones. Yamaha shop said they can only get the genuine. any recommendations from users here? I have a right hand grimeca block with a left handed thread for the mirror to screw into and am unsure of size. Any help appreciated Regards Greg

Hi, I'm new here, rather hoping someone might be able to help me out with fixing my Dragstar. However this is just an intro so.... I'm 23, been riding since I was 16, started off on an aprilia RX50 geared scrambler (cut the exhaust in half, took out the cat and it would do 55MPH! Took it from bristol down to paignton a few times, 115 miles each way) Then I had a gsx 250 chopper, which I've still got, but it's not been on the road for about 5 years Then my dad gave me an XVS650 for my 18th birthday, and I rode that for about a year (had no 4th gear, but I eventually fixed that) Bought a sportster 883 aswell, and then 6 months later I went into the local HD dealer to …

Hi all. Just acquired myself a new project. An 87 FZR 400. Much more of a project than i had anticipated. Classic brought without seeing.. Nothing i cant deal with but will certainly take longer than expected to be riding and no doubt considerably more expensive than expected. Had lots of bikes up til now, daily rider is not a Yam..🙄 Think i will start a thread in the projects forum so anyone interested can take a look..
