hi all, after many years of having fun as a pillion decided it was time to become the pilot. I took my CBT in April 10 and decided to purchase a new shiny YBR125. What a fun machine, only just done 900miles as due to an op was unable to ride for a bit, but back in the seat now and slowly preparing for my test. I have passed my theory and contemplating my module one in the very near future.

Hi All, Just had my wrist wrapped by Cynic for posting a "How do I" before a "Hello I am", although I have been reading for a number of weeks. So with my hand on my lid I apologise and would like to say Hi Brief history of me (although knowing me this won’t be brief at all, so I’m sorry in advance). I’m 31, living in Essex and I am just starting my biker life. My dad had loads of bikes when I was young but after my parents divorce I was never exposed to bikes into my teens. Then my cousin was very unfortuately killed on a bike and so, well my interests went on to other things. In January I was away skiing and during one (drunken) conversation a f…

Hi all, I have already been posting and have been receiving some much appreciated advice! I recently acquired a '98 WR400F which aside from being a pig to get started, is actually a wonderful bike. Previous to that I have owned an XT125R which I put through it's paces on local trails and byways etc... Thanks Alex

Even tho I have been a member for a year I have never said hello. Very rude of me! Apologies to all. Sooo, hello all. My name Kristian, I’m relatively new to the biking world even tho I have wanted one for many years! I am currently riding my dream bike, an R1. I’m lucky where I live as I have the yorkshire dales on my doorstep and easy to get to the lakes for some good rides out. I’m a member if this group to learn from like minded people and most probably ask for advice. Hopefully making new friends to ride out with along the way. Thank you for reading my post and again I apologise for the delay in posting. KB Edit: P.S it’s not usually…

Hope everyones well! Just thought Id say hello... New to the site, and pretty new to bikes... Just passed my test, and treated myself to a 1996 Tenere xtz660... Idea is to do some trail riding, some tours and just enjoy the bike. Bike is currently not working which is a major headache but getting there methodically and will hopefully find the issue soon. Hi all I am a new member having just bought a TDM900, what a bike ! Just what I wanted not so high Erving as theSuzuki I had and it has sooooo much torque that gear changes are much less frequent and the weight is so central that it handles like a dream and flips from side topside with no effort, what a bike. Hi all, My name is John, and I've recently made the switch from car to bike. Sold my Honda Civic as we couldn't afford to run two cars anymore (unfortunately kept the C-Max, wife's choice ). I live about 4 miles from work but it's through the Mersey tunnel so unfortunately cycling isn't an option, which leaves me with either the peasant wagon, or the option of getting a little 125. Went with the latter, did my CBT, and picked up a nice little YBR 125 to amble around on. I've got to say, I'm really enjoying it so far, much more freedom than waiting around for unreliable buses, and sitting next to people coughing and sneezing on me! I've been around car foru…

Hi guys and girls, I've ridden DT125s in the past and have pondered passing my motorbike licence since age 17. I passed my car licence instead and now at 23 I went for it! CBT in the bag, scarily easy to pass and I'm studying towards my standard licence. (94% on mock theory... won't settle until 100%!) So my first on-road bike... It's a Yamaha (derrrr) YB100 97cc 1989 18N Model in Red (happy little 2 stroke). It's CBT friendly, looks like a classic, pulls like a 125cc and produces a smell which would take any F1 driver back to his karting childhood! Bought for £500, it had a full MOT, full TAX, only serviced a month ago and only 8500 genuine miles on the…
