  1. Hello everyone, I am in the process of restoring a 1976 DT175 Enduro (American model) and am in desperate need for a luggage rack for it. The restoration is in Ireland although I live in Manchester at the moment. I have been on the look out for one of these luggage racks for sometime now and from my experience they are rarer than hens teeth. Does anyone out there know of where I might get one at the right price. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ]

Hi all, Quick intro. I ride YBR250 5 days a week for London commute and delivering some of my work to clients. Great bike nearly 4 years old now with 25000km. Only major prob so far is front wheel bearing failure. Upgraded seat at Custom motorcyle seats last month and made riding over all these speed humps in London much more comfortable Only gripes are no centre stand, found a site in Brazil selling one but not speaking Portuguese unable to get any further! and exhaust downpipe quality is a joke. On second exhaust due to rust. Fitted mudflap on front fender to try and stop accelerated corrosion on new one. Safe riding to all - Paul

morning all, This weekend i purchased an 1987 FZR750r genesis, it's in need of some tlc, so my list of questions i will be asking is long The body work is in excellent condition, do 1000 genesis panels fit? also the brakes are a weak point, i've heard that the blue spot calipers from an r6/r1 will fit? i'm assuming that the early 98/99 capliers ar the ones? Please forgive me for improper ettiquette, but the bike has got me buzzibg, i always wanted one when 17 years old now 30 years on i've got one

Hey guys, just joined yesterday and wanted to intro myself. Live in 'sunny' South Devon - married with 4 (yes 4) teenage kids - nightmare! First road bike - new FS1e (purple the best!) that dates me sufficiently haha. Had loads of different bikes since then and a few spills but been lucky enough to get away with them - just. Closest scrape - 2004 - woman pulled out in front of me and my Aprilia Mille - wrote the bike off and had a good go at me at the same time. She was prosecuted and got away with a driver improvement course - she should have been banned for life. Used to ride trials and motorcross - ty250's and Maico's but too long in the tooth now. Current …

Hi all, just saying hi and introduce myself. After many years of car driving I have decided to finally give in to my inner teenager and get a bike. Bought myself an sr125 in quite a poor state. Will post pic. And have decided to restore it to former glory. It is now down to just frame, forks and loom with the engine stripped on the bench. So over the coming months, (no sense in rushing it over the winter) I would like to share the project with my new friends on here and share my experience. Glad of any tips or hints. ok here what ive done so far. Stripped bike to fame, engine out and stripped, wheels, seat, mud guards, lights, tank all off. Caseings all shined up. par…

Hi- I just joined this group and am looking forward to hearing about your vintage rides. I am a retired lover of old 2-stoke motorcycles, and have owned several Yamahas, Bridgestones, Suzukis, and Hondas (and one each Sears and Mongomery Wards bikes). I have never bought a bike that runs and I like to find ways to bring dead machines back to life. I just retired, so doing this on a budget is a real challenge but I have had a lot of success with fixing for low or no $. Hello folks. My name is Sadie, I'm originally from Leicestershire but I now live in Berkshire. Passed my bike test back in 1996 and have owned only a few bikes since, although have ridden quite a few that weren't mine. My last Yamaha was a Jap racing import FZR 400 Exup which I loved. Took a break from biking due to a number of reasons but got back into it in 2010 after meeting my now hubby, who is also a biker. He bought a Harley and, without really thinking about it, so did I. I actually enjoyed that for two and a half years, but we both decided it was time to get back into the 21st century and modern biking again Being rather little, I struggle with big machin…

I'm one of those 'older' people who've come back to biking after a few years away I've always hankered after an XJ900 - wow - now I've got one! It's one of the last built (1996) and looks in pretty good condition - I hope we can get along together! Looking forward to studying the forums and postings Regards Mike

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi, I'm a bit new to this but I've had a look round and it all seems quite civilised. I've been around bikes since the late '60s my first real bike was a James 250 Sports Superswift and then moved on to Bonnies and a Triton and then the same old story marriage and all that, just the odd small commuting honda but nothing for a while. Anyway I recently got an XT 660 R and well I'm impressed. Its the most comfortable machine I've ridden and suits me perfect. Ive got a couple of questions if someone can answer or advise, First can anyone recommend a suitable replacement chain and sprocket kit nothing too fancy or pricey (ub 40) I'm no boy ra…
