Hey, I kind of introduced myself on another bit but here I am now. I've had bikes since I was 16 and now at my advancing years like to assemble a motley collection of "bargains" or "it was too cheap, I had to have it" or other blatant lies. My preference is for 80's bikes but if it's a bargain, well.....what can a man do? I've already had some advice etc but am certainly enjoying my time here so far. I can't get pics to load from photo bucket and it's doing my head in! Is there an alternative to photo bucket that actually works? My latest acquisition is an 86 XJ750 Jap Import which basically looks like a UK Xj650 Turbo which has had the fuel inje…

Hello one and all. Been meaning to join up here for ages, but had to attend the funeral of my computer instead Got me a sweet x reg 125 dragstar called christine (broke mirror, next morning it was fixed all by itself, hence the fitting name). Seemed like a good idea to join up here to help and be helped as required, and share in the fun of yammy owning. So..... umm.... yeah.... HI!!! Fletch 26

I have been lurking for ages ( 2 years plus!!), so here I am!! BOO !! I am a bit of a Yam fan (unknowingly, but I nearly always end up with a Yam!!).. I like a bit of adventure, so my XT660R fits the bill very well. I have done a bit of off-roading on it, including the Pyrenees, plus trips up north to the Lakes, Isle of Man etc...what a perfect bike for me..... And I have just bought a two stroke TDR 250, which is going to be restored.....it isn't in bad nick at all really, but as the frame has a few small areas of rust, I thought I would just do the lot, and go through it all, helps to get to know a bike methinks... Anyways, nice to meet you all.......…

Hi everyone im Daniel just passed my test a month ago and got myself a thundercat. Just fitted a 33bhp restrictor kit myself that I got of someone who used to have their cat restricted The washers went into the inlet manifolds like they are meant to Went out a ride and in first gear it revved up to 12k. Is this normal? I know the washers are in there and they are for the thundercat I dont see how they could have came out though :S any ideas?? Cheers

Hi, Yamaha fans (although I'm sure most of you out there aren't too discriminatory towards any particular brand)! I'm Cozmo. I'm a new motorcyclist, but I've been fascinated by bikes for years. I've just now been able to afford a bike and the training to ride it well. I recently acquired a 1981 Yamaha SR 250 from a friend, and I've purchased a second bike for parts (though the parts I need from it are so minimal that I could realistically have two working bikes by the end of summer). This is my first motorcycle, as well as my first foray into bike repair and maintenance, so I'll definitely have some questions! I'd eventually like to get a bigger bike, like a…

Hellooo! I'm Carol. I'm from Sheffield/Lincoln. I have a Virago 535 as of about a week ago. And its awsome & I love it. Do you lot have many meets & rideouts? Bcus I'm currently finding it difficult to find people to go out riding with. People are generally a bit warey when a 19yo girl approaches you in the street and begs you to be their friend :L (Yes, I've tried that, without success.) Have a lovely day, Carol xx

Hey ya'll, My name is Matt, been around dirt bikes all my life. Started racing on a (highly modified) pw50 (cough cough 60). Played other sports, but always enjoyed being on 2 wheels. My brother is a mechanic for a AMA supercross & motocross team, so we love wrenching on bikes, always looking to make them faster, and more fun to ride. After many years of discussing it, we started a side company in 2012. We provide race prep and tuning for dirtbikes, and we can also provide a mechanic at the race if you would like. We also make carbon fiber parts & accessories for dirt bikes & 'Cafe Racer' styled streetbikes. Sorry for the long intro. If you want to chec…

What are peoples opinions when it come to pillion's on the R1. At the moment the wife can only last half an hour on the ninja due to the brick of a back seat. Only ever previously owned 2t bikes (4L0 LC, F2 YPVS, RXS100....) Early feeling I have from the XJ is ok, definitely different but not bad. I look forward to chatting with y'all Ta'ra...
