Hi all, After 43 years of irregular riding around the world, I took the intro, cbt and direct access course to get my licence and passed last week at Farnborough. OMG I felt like a school child on exams all over again. I'd already treated myself to a new XJ6 Diversion F and love it , is it sad to just get on the bike and go somewhere ...because I can? If only I could now just stay away from motorcycle accessory shops lol

Hey all Just a quick hello from a late 30 year old (ok ok 40 next October) returning to biking. Used to run a bored out scrambler at aged 16, onto a TZR125 at 17-18 then got into cars and then never got back to bikes. Recently, lockdown blues, decded on a new hobby this time with the fiance - we passed out CBT 2 weeks ago and now sit proud re-learning how to drive (cars have given us habits!) I have an XVS 125 Dragstar and she has a newer CB125F with mod cons. They aren't the 2 strokes of my day, but nevertheless fast enough for now. Nice to see some youtube videos recorded around my home town of Rugby/Leamington/Daventry area and now nort…

Hi everyone. This is my first post, so I'd just stop by and introduce myself. Aged 45, married, three kids, and motorcycles as one of my hobbies since childhood. I've just started a 75% restoration of a DT 125 LC MK1, and would like to ask for some advice around some parts that I just cant find. I'll put up some pictures, and maybe a build thread after some initial lurking around. So - I'm off to the search button, and looking for relevant posts.

Hi Folks After 40 odd years of not riding, about 18 months ago I bought myself a virago go 535. Although I don't do many miles on it I love riding it. I'm now 61 and I wonder why I waited so long to get a bike again. I went out for a ride today about 50 miles round trip in the winter sun, there really is nothing like it. Look forward to enjoying your company on this forum. Cheers Stuart (OK The topic title should read "in" South Wales not "on" South Wales! Just goes to show what an oldie I am!!)

Hi, Well i have only been in PEI for 5 Years and have just got hold of a very nice YZF600 Thundercat in silver and black and in great shape too. Actually i am very impressed with the bike and as the island is a small place this bike is ideal with enough power so far for here. Back home in Blighty had the GSXR and an RF900 Suzuki and my last bike was a Cagiva Gran canyon with the Ducati S4 engine which was a great bike. Only ever had 3 yamaha's in the past, RS125, RD250 air cooled and the Nutter RD350LC. I will post a picture of it later at some time. Loafy...

Hi everyone. I just picked up a 1980 SR250 yesterday. She's a real beaut and I'm very excited. It's my first motorcycle. I rode dirt bikes as a kid getting all Xtreme and whatnot, but now that I'm grown and live in the city it's time for a new hobby. I know little about motorcycles, but I'm pretty handy ands I'm eager to learn, which is why I got this bike. They seem relatively simple as far as street bikes go. The bike runs great now, and is in pretty good cosmetic condition. My plan is to ride til it gets too cold, and then spend the winter disassembling, cleaning and doing some mods. All with the intention of finishing for spring. We'll see haha As I get into the phas…

Hi, I have ridden motorcycles since I was a kid and have owned a few. A few years ago I had to sale my 2001 FZ1 due to financual reasons. I have since picked up two barn finds that I am restoring. The first is a 1978 XS-400 which is also the first street bike I ever owned back in 1978. I am doing it Cafe style and am progressing slowly as I have funds available. I recently poured a new seat pan for it as the stock one was too rusted to salvage. The biggest headache so far was the rear master sylinder which was totally coroded. I used a universal rear mastercyclinder from Mikes XS and machined some custom mounts and linkage and I think it works better than the stoc…
