Hi, I'm from Ottawa, Canada, where the temperature is at 0C/32F right now. ( Dec 8th.) I'm in my garage restoring a newly acquired 1976 XS500 to a pretty nice daily rider condition. I had a lot of bikes in my misspent youth. Started with a Honda Z50 (apparently a collectors item now! That's the funniest thing I ever heard.) then several Yamaha 2 stroke twins, then Suzuki fours: a GS550, 750 and 1100e. Somewhere in there, I commuted for a couple of summers on a Honda CB350, and briefly a CB400F. My last bike was a 1978 Ducati Darmah. No bikes for about 20 years and now a Yamaha XS500.. Why the XS500? Well I longed for a 70's bike, but many of them are now too …

So... I've been wanting a bike for so ridiculously long i cant even remember. When I had the money to get one, I had a wife to tell me no But... I finally won the argument, and am now the owner of a '99 SR125. It needs a bit of TLC as its has been standing idle for a LONG time. So far I have cleaned it up, drained the oil, changed the brake fluid, checked brake pistons and seals, fitted a new fuel line, rewired front lighting (It originally had side spots on it but one was broken so previous owner removed them but never rewired) and thats about it. There are a few cosmetic bits and bobs needed, and there are a few problems I am hoping to get some help with here .…

Hi all, I'm Steve, from Lancashire and i ride a 1998 'S' reg Thundercat, (Red/Black/White) and a Benelli Tornado RS. This is the 2nd 'Cat i've had, having parted company with my first ( another 1998 'S' reg, Black/Silver/Orange) in a head-on collision with a Lexus in 2000. Well, if you're going to do it, do it in style! Although probably best not at 100mph minimum closing speed... Whilst i couldn't get out on the other 'Cat enough (12,500 miles in the 14 months i had it), the one i have now is a low mileage beauty that i'm trying to keep that way (10,025 miles), although it's difficult! I've just changed the battery (bluddy alarms...) and have changed the fork sea…

Hey everyone, my names Alex. I've just bought a new YBR 125 and I've never rode before, so this is a whole new game for me. Did my CBT this Saturday and picked the bike up the same day. Looking forward to learning more and working up to a bigger bike. I've had experience with working on cars a fair amount as my other toy is a VW Golf 1.8T currently pushing 200bhp yet I find the ~10bhp bike more fun!

hi all, well time i introduced myself, i'm a 31 young man from just outside newcastle, just passed my first year on the roads on a bike. i first started off on a cheap pioneer cruiser i lasted 5 month before i git sick of it then sold it on. i then fancied trying a different bike so i bought a sachs xtc road bike, however three months into owning this bike some thieving b@$tards decided they would smash my garage doors and empty my garage im am due to buy my next bike and have really looked into it this time, where in the past i just bought the first thing i could find and liked the look of. i have decided 100% im going to but the xvs dragstar 125, i love the…

I bought a '00 DT230 just the other day. Found this site has a bit of info about them so here i am. The DT is my first Yamaha. Seems like a pretty solid piece of kit. Had a lot of fun on it already! It's good to get off the tarmac for a change. I have a few other bikes. A couple of V-twins, another single and a big old 70's Three pot smoker. I've been restoring and servicing my own machines and other friends bikes for many yrs now, so i may even be able to contribute from time to time. Im here mainly though to find out more about the DT230 for when it comes time for parts/maintenance etc.

Good evening, I've just given an old XJ600 Diversion a new home. Am an old geezer looking to get my hands dirty and get this old lady up and running. It's a 1998 1 owner with 28000 on the clock with a full history. Need a brake lever, rear caliper broken nipple. The plan is to pull it apart and re assemble. So forgive me in advance for the questions which will no doubt be on their way, Anyway, look forward to being on here
