i have a dt 50 in italy i had it second hand it had got 7.000 on it its now got 15 .000 on i have had it for 6 months and i have i few things i need to do to it 1st i need a new seat any ideas where i can get 1 (i can get from uk )2nd it will do 100kmh is this goos it fells v slow 3rd tyer i need of road tyers thanks chris

hi all , got chance of a full arrow exhaust system for my light-waight xt125r , has anyone fitted one with good results ? i have the chance of one for £220.00 full system with removevable baffles . thanks for any posetive input .

hi all , i have an xt125r baught new in 2009 , on three quaters to full throtle this bike has had detonation from new , i have only done 1400 miles on it but was wondering what damage this could have done ! at first i thaught it was the carateristics of the engine , then i thaught it was the restrictive exhaust and air clean up system on the exhaust . i had fitted at the dealers a new arrow exhaust system and when the problem was still the same i new it was pinking due to a lean mixture at over half to full throtle , it is at the dealers now and suspect that a larger main jet is going to be fitted to repair this problem , its stupid how engines have to be leaned off so mu…

Bought me an 'Apico' stand today. lifts the bike off the ground for cleaning, inspecting lubing etc. motocross riders may well be familiar. Down height 12.5", Up height 16.5", lift weight max 120 Kg. Nice piece of kit, will do for both my DT's But would buckle under the bandit Price...£40

I have a 1979 Yamaha GT80 that I recently got running, but very poorly. I have rebuilt the carburetor and decoked the top end. It is hard to start and once started, will not idle. When giving it throttle and then releasing the throttle the rpms take a long time to slow down. There are two small hoses on the carb, but I can't see where they are supposed to connect. I know this is a very strange question but one that would be GREATLY appreciated. Im doing some design work on various yamaha engine parts but the problem is that we only have a WR250 here. If possible, if anyone has a YZ450, YZ250 or WR450 could you do me a huge favor and measure the I.D. of the ignition coil bore? We have been trying hard to get locals here to help but it is to no avail. I can promise if you help me out now I will do the same in the future concerning some items that may be of interest. does anyone know where i can find a piston kit for a 1988 yamaha dt50u liquid cooled enduro bike??? I cant find one anywhere. also does anyone know if a bigger engine will bolt up to the frame of this bike, say a yz 80 engine or something??? Thanks guys!!!

could any one post up a service manual page on installing the kicker gear in a 78 dt 400. I can not seem to get it to wind up correctly and don't have a book for it. thanks

i have a little dtr 125 (witch on the subject of hot wireing ... yes i do legaly own) ... how ever it was stolen a while back in febuary and the ignition was forced (with no success) then the wires going into the ignition were cut (guess to hotwire) but novice yobs should stick to push bikes as they where unsucessfull how ever once the bike had been recoverd i did set out to replace the whole ignition system but over time ive decided to hotwire the bike myself and use it for work (being secure at home and secure in work) hotwiring wouldnt be a problem so long story short ... wot wires do i connect to hotwire the bike ??? i understand if i get no responce to this top…
