as anyone got a headlight cowling for a 06' dt125x in black that they want 2 sell

hi everyone , just joined , buying a XT125R , am getting it on friday , could anyone who has owned this type of machine tell me what to expect in the way of performance . does this type of bike get away from cars at the lights so that you can keep out of trouble , will it perform on hills and in windy conditions , what is its comfortable cruising speed . i have got to run it in for 600 miles before i can use the perfomanse . thanks for any help on this matter .

I have a 03 reg dtr 125 Just had a rebore and piston and rings went out on it yesterday and it was fine at first some noise running ok then started to cough and splutter so I thought some muck must have got into the carb took it off gave it a quick clean put it back on then it ran very poorley for about 20 meters then cut out seemed as if was misfiring checked the spark all good great compression I Took the carb apart to clean properly put back on still wont start any ideas people oh and is the cut off switch ment to prevent the spark as mine sparking with it in the off position ??

I have fumes and gunk coming out of the right hand side of my power valve . I just had a rebore piston and rings now Im not sure if the guy doing the rebore would have taken the valve out whilst doing this but now Ive noticed its got quite a bit of play at the right and wont start any ideas .

1999 yz 250 ~~Ok im 30 yrs behind on tech so im needing to know a few thing, the kids bike I thought had locked up, upon removal of the clutch side cover I found the KICK return spring bent wedged into the clutch drive gear, so tight I had to dremal cut it out, no damage to gears, ive ordered a new spring, Can I intall new spring without removal of basket? ALSO, the spring end that mounts to case? where does it go exactly, ive got nothing for referance, IF ANYONE has a pic of spring pos. that would be great. also on same side of clutch side cover theres a power valve?? remember im a little behind on this stuff. Hi ive just started my rebuild of my XT350 i recoverd from the scum who stole it. Its fully stripped down to frame and running gear. Im painting up my frame and have stripped the forks of the black household paint that was used to disguise the bike. looking to make it into a special, the frame has had the rear lugs chopped off that take rear foot pegs. planning to cut shape and recover the seat. The look is a mat/satin black mixed with shiney bits ....an old crosser with modern parts fitted. Dose anyone have an old dr, dt 125 or simalair headlight. ? Hi does anyone know what's out there to increase the tank size for my TT250R bike 08 model. it has the stock blue 9.6lts looking for something like a 13 - 15ltr...??? or can another bike tank fit into this bike, say a suzuki or honda... any one know, thanks.....

Hi Im thinking about buying a 100cc engine to replace my seized 50cc engine but need some advice on what i have to change, i want some advice before i buy one so if i do and it fails then it would be a waste of money. ADVICE:: Do i need to change electrics? i.e. Wiring loom, starter relay, HT lead, Voltage regulator & CDI unit. Do i have to change the suspension? i.e. Back Shock, Front Forks And anything else... After looking for a while for a 6v headlight for my old DT's - I found that the NAPA store at the corner sells them. #4020 is the common number - NAPA's number is - LMP4020 - list price is @ $29.00. My local store sold me 2 for $43.00! My Yam dealer wanted $73.00 for one.

Hi all and as most newbs i have a question, here goes just purchased a 1982 dt125 lc took it off road for about an hour hit a large puddle and it hasnt started since, ive checked all the electrics the plug the conections to the coil,checked the color of the oil, checked for spark(it has one ) but it fails to kick up! smells like its flooding but it does start with a warmed plug but only shortley and only if the air filter is off so realy ive run out of things to check and i,m stuck with a toy i cant play with

I have a tzr 125 engine which i plan to mount to my go kart. I have removed all the wiring and now just have the regulater, cdi and another black box which i think is for the power valve. There is a few wires left over and i'm not sure what to connect them to and which ones are usless and what wires to earth and attach to the coil. Also on the regulater there is a block with 3 white wires these connect straight to the stator and there is also red and black that i take it they go to the battery but there is a brown one and i'm not sure were it goes. Hi. I am driving myself mad trawling through loads of websites and forums but now thought I will try a shortcut. Basically I wish to replicate a XT500 flat tracker which I want for road use. All I wish to know is that there an easy way to change the front end to a smaller wheel (maybe a mag one) and normal front mudguard. Is there a set of forks/front end that will slip straight into my exhisting trees . The general opinion I am getting is that XS650/SR500 would do it but I think these are going to be to hard to come across. 74 DT125,,,put new set of black carbon brushes,,still nothing,,,but well thay work or do you need the copper color ones?? lol , i should have ask that before i did it..also need a repair manual..great website,,,thanks everone
