Hey all I have got a dt 125 r 1996 when riding it will not go over 6k sometimes a little bit more just sounds like it is losing the spark every now and then but is fine all revs up to 6k it does it in neutral but allows me to get to 8k I have recently done crank seals and it run fine after that so checked all magneto an stator they all look fine I'm very stumped now can any one help There is a video on you tube showing what I mean. Ill post the link soon I have changed spark plug Cleaned the carb New coil and lead Checked all wires for wear If any one can help would be much appreciated

I just bought this bike used with only 3,000 miles on it. So the overall condition of the bike is very good. The owner broke one of the rear turn signals. Now I am trying to figure out what's happening with it. Beyond the obvious needing to replace the light...here are additional symptoms...the remaing 3 signals (2 front, 1 rear) do not respond to the handlebar switch. The headlight runs fine. The tail light runs fine. When using the front brake, the brake light works all the time; however, when using the foot brake the stop light works intermittently. Hi, I recently had a crash on my bike a couple months ago, nothing too serious just went into side of a car that wasn't paying much attention. The bike has been standing a couple months also as not being able to afford to insure the bike. I have been starting the bike up every couple of days over the winter to make sure the bike gets warm. Leave it for about 10-15 mins each time. I have took the bike out today, done about 20-25 miles on the bike. It is blowing a lot of smoke out exhaust and has a lot of black botches on the back of the reg plate and dripping down under exhaust. hey all......are dtr and tzr crank cases the same, my left hand crank case has chunks missing and neutral gear inicator has been pushed in. cheers red

right guys, my problem being ive bought this bike and the frame and engine numbers match....4GW000930, But can only find a sort of match for tdr's....its definatley a dt125r it is on an N registration and has cdi on the 2 stroke oil bottle and the extra bottle next to the air box where it connects to the the carb. any ideas what the hel it is.....jap or u.s import? thanks in advance red.

I'm a fair way into the restoration of a '76 GT80, when I brought it it had been stripped down to a dirt bike and had had all of the electrics removed. I'm trying to put it back on the road and the only thing I'm struggling with now is a wiring harness (loom). I've seen various looms for sale in the U.S but they're all from '79 - '81 models, as they're liable to be quite expensive by the time they've landed in the UK I don't really want to chance buying the wrong one so was wondering if anyone can tell me if they're the same across all models. Hi, all this is my first post. I have just bought a yamaha dt lc mk3 1987 but the last lights dont work. It has just passed its mot with its last owner, but the headlight and tail work the the bike is.locked, park mode I think. Any help will be appreciated. Hello everyone! I'm new the forum and also new to motorcycles. Never rode one... Ever. But a friend of mine was selling his TT 250 for really cheap so I went for it. It has been sitting for a few years. Last registered in 2008 so at least 4 years. I want to try and start it up but I don't know what steps to take before hand. Also I want to try for dual registration. Is this even possible with this bike? I live in California. I know I have to get all the lights for it, but I heard that the power output isn't powerful enough for legal street use... Hope to hear good news from you guys!

I purchased a 1978 Yamaha GT80 for a great price, 40$ and the guy is the first owner so I got the ownerships. Bike is in pretty rough shape, but for the price I coudn'lt turn it down. The thing is, their is no spark. First thing I did was check the coil, it was finished so I ordered a new one off of Ebay for 17$, then changed the plug, still no luck. Then I proceeded in cleaning the points, still no go. Finally, I went and took apart the fly wheel, the magnetic plates (?) were quite rusted, so I lightly cleaned them using sand paper (Yes, I know this will create future…

Hi all, first post so go easy. Passed my CBT and then went out and bought myself a 2002 DT125r, Electric start only covered 2000km. As you can imagine as i had just passed my CBT i was on it every day for about 3 weeks, it worked flawlessly. I noted that the front head light had stopped working, so got myself another lamp and changed it. turned the key and it didn't work, so tried starting it, Nothing. The Engine will turn over on the button, with good compression. Have tried cleaning the spark plug(iridium) and tried a new standard plug, with no effect. Fresh fuel, without the air filter, new coil, still to no avail. The wiring seems fine all plugs are clean and…

Yeah I've been looking at graphics kits for my 2013 YZ250F special edition (white) but I'm not sure if blue graphics kits will look odd or not on the white plastics. Any thoughts or suggestions with this one guys? Thanks. - Jake

Got a white fuel tank with black and red decals thats going to need stripping back to bare metal and full respray. There are 10 dents in total one being a large knee dent in side. Does anybody know of a tank repair respray place in stockport/manchester and what paint code is the white? Regards Simon

Hi guys and girls, can anybody help? I need to know what the screw on the top of my cylinder head is called??? Its about inch long and it is hollow with a hole about half way up the screw that my carb warmer pipe goes into, I need to replace this as it has broken causing water and coolant to leek everywere but; don't no what it is called to order a new one.
