I would like to know what kind of rim I have to buy to change my XT 350 1996 in a supermoto. and if you have the link for these rim I'll appreciate

First of all I want to say Hi to everyone. I am new to the site but, not new to riding. I just bought a 93 YZ 250 and have a few questions for the guys that know. I need an inner clutch basket and the clutch basket itself. Does anyone know what years will work. I am not looking to spend alot of money on a Hinson, Barrnett or new stock. Hay Im just wondering how much would a secondhand dt200r pro-curcuit exhaust system be worth because im putting the original exhaust back on it to save petrol.Im selling the pro-circuit

Starts up first kick and runs exc. When using electric starter it takes a while...usually starts after a big backfire?? Only when I electric start it. Someone said starter brushes? If so...where are they located? Easy fix for mechanical guy but not mechanic?? Thanks

I had a oil throttle cable on my bike(1974 DT175)with a broken-off cable tip at the pump end. I made a new tip and soldered it on, but it looks like the cable is too short. Can anyone tell me how long the cable should stick out past the housing and/or total cable length? Thanks!

I have a 1992 yz80 and need to know what the model # is. An example is yz80k or yz80L_N. I looked on the bike but cannot find and ID tag with any numbers like this. Any help would be great.

Hi Just stripping down a 1981 DT175 I've just picked up. It would appear at some time in it's life someone decided to improvise somewhat (bodge), and drilled a new hole through the frame to mount the suspension in a different place - (to the left of the flange in the pic). I assume this was to give more rear ride height? Either that, or the shock that is fitted is shorter than standard. So 2 things - anyone able to confirm the length of the standard shock, and secondly, is this a common alteration? Lee Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Hello everyone.... I have a 2007 WR250F that I recently acquired....and I have a concern about the stock exhaust. When the bike is started using the fuel enrichner lever, during the warmup, the exhaust header gets RED HOT!!!.....Is this normal????? Once the bike is warmed up enough to ride the pipe cools down and looks normal, but I can't ride it until it warms up enough to stay running which takes about 4-5 minutes of really high idling with the enrichner on. I'm concerned there may be something wrong with the bike...and I don't want to damage the motor due to the high temperatures.......I've had several dirt bikes and quads and have never seen this.....Any info or h…

hi all , after buying a xt125r and being a bit disapointed with the general performance , ok so 125s are low on power but this felt strangled to death !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so when up at sheffield motorcycle centre i saw a full arrow exhaust system for £220.00 i thaught why not , had it fitted so as not to effect waranty , bike was better but only marginally , anyway after talking to steve the service manager it was decided to renew carb under waranty as it was very hard to start from new and tickover was very irratic and it was definatly a bad carb , it was also dyno tested and rejeted from 105 to 110 jet, well what a difference , revs to the moon and now goes very very well ,…

hi, i have a dt125r 2001. i was advised to clean the carb so i have. i have put the carb back in the bike but as soon as the petrol tap is turned on petrol pours out the overflow ? also when the bike is kicked over it sounds like its on full throttle ? someone said that the slide is stuck but when the throttle is twisted it sounds like the slide is going up and down ? have i put the slide in round the wrong way ? as for pipes, i have 1 pipe from the petrol tap, and 2 pipes going to the head of the engine that strangly seem to be coolant pipes ??? Please Help, i need the bike back running and need to get going on it tomorrow so all the help is gratefully received !…

Hi All, a new one here. I just picked up an XT350 that I had previously owned and did a bunch of work to, but then traded it for another bike. I have it back now and realized that I put a new wiring harness on it and never thought that the keyswitch would possibly have to be by-passed. When I first got the bike the wiring harness was all cobbled together, but it worked. Since I have replaced it I am thinking the key switch not being bypassed would be causing it not to start. I have not checked spark but I know how these things work.... no key... no starty! It is a 1986 Yamaha XT350 with no lights, gauges or keyswitch, etc... can someone tell me what wires are the key swit…

Hi, the later dtr's have the same rear mudguard as a DTX with the brake light built in on top which looks much better than my early version where the rear light is just above the number plate. will the later mudguard fit my 2001 dtr ? cheers 2 stroke ray

Hi. ive got a problem with my TY over reving. Once the bike is warmed up whenever i put it into neutral or pull the clutch the revs begin to rise to a point where i have to kill it or put it back into gear. The exaust is loose as the thread is knackered on the barrel (which im going to fix tomorrow hopefuly) would this cause the problem or is it something else. ive allready striped and cleaned the carb however the problem continued. cheers.

I have been looking on http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx to compare different models and have found: Front hub compatible with: 1999-2000 WR400F 2001 WR426F Rear hub compatible with: 1999-2009 WR400, 426 and 450 Does anyone knows what is different on the front hubs of the other years? Hi, DTR125 2001 I want to install a Cig Lighter Socket so i can charge the sat nav ! I have the socket but wanted to check first weather its as easy as wireing straight from the battery as all male cig lighter plugs are fused. I wont damage me generator stator or anything else will i ? Many Thanks 2strokeray

What should my temp needle be reading as mine is still reaching the far right at traffic lights !? Have topped up the rad with coolant and the expansion tank is reading full, but the needle still near enough hits the red (in the little gap between white and red) when idling for a short while. Theres no change in power or any noises or anything, just dont want it to run toooo hot ! I havent actually waited any longer to see if it does actually over heat, to concentrated on getting away from the lights for some air flow so the needle will drop ! Maybe me being paranoid ! is it ok just to buy the rings or should i get the whole piston kit? Nothing is damages just would like to put new rings in

i was doing some stuff to my bike today and i had the panels off.. got into the bit where the fuses are etc.. moved the cdi and noticed it had beed cut open around the top so you can remove the shell revealing the guts(circuitbaord i guess?) any ideas? has it been modded? is there a mod... help lol
