Hello again I have had a few thumpers,I currently have an 83 XT550K with YDLS. 1 carb 2 carbs I understand, But a carb and a half I dont understand. Can someone give brief explanation or point me in the right direction? Thank you for any help Crash

can any one tell me what the difference between a ttr600r 2001/2002 and a ttr600re 2005 ? other than the electric start what I want to know is the exhaust seems to only be available for bikes up to 2002 and from what I see picture wise they look the same to me is their any difference to the exhaust as standard ???? .I need a can on it its so quiet don't have the enthusiasm to modify would rather it just fitted thanx minted

Just imported my 2005 DT50R from the continent and getting ready to register it here in the UK. I've tried fitting a new tail light to illuminate the reg plate, but thanks to the stupid design of the original number plate holder, it lights up the back of the reg plate - very helpful! Any ideas on where to get a decent setup? Secondly, after fitting the current light (and having the bike trailered to the UK), the digital speedo/clock/computer is very faint and the clock is counting through the time like there's no tomorrow (literally)! I've checked the battery (all fine and charging "in case"), and disconnected the new light to eliminate what I can - no change. …

Will a '82 piston and cylinder work in an '83 XT550?

Hey Guys and Gals just picked up used 1991 xt350 no start the bike has no spark. Is there any common concerns or just start at the beging with diag. What I would like to know is if I unplug the kill switch do I need to jump wires to buy pass or just unplug. Any help would be great. Also what purpuse is the switch on the kick stand. Thanks Steve

Just thought id mention it on here. I bought off ebay a parts catalogue for my 1986 dt125 (mk3) on microfiche. Im 19 so when it turned up i was confused as i was expecting a tiny sardine to jump out and tell me all the product numbers! (Sorry) Anyway, i took it down to the library (its like the internet, but more papery!) and they charged me about 20 quid to get in printed onto A4 paper. So at somepoint i think ill scan it into the computer and make a pdf file out of it. hey guys how is everyone ive been planing on makeing a home made silencer for my 77dt 175 for a wile now and had an idea after a mate told me how some one used one of these to silence his riffle maybe use a big oilfilter from a car and just knocking a hole in the top of it and whacking it on the end of the expanshion chamber just wondering if anyone has tried this or does anybody recon it will work or will the paper in it burn any idea's anyone? i can make a proper strait through one from chicken wire fiber glass and a tin cylinder but the oil filter would be quicker less time consumeing and instead of repacking just buy a new one there cheap as

I have a yamaha xt125r do u know anyway to get more power out of it? On my kart i got a carb that is less restrictive (mikuni 32mm) wuld one of them work? or jus a bigger pipe? as that gave ma kart more top end speed:P
