How and when do I inspect the oil on my YZ426? Right aftir I stop the motor or when. If I inspect it 5 min aftir I stop the engine then it is on the mark but next day it is way below the mark.... regards ZeColleman http://mxs.123.is/home/

hey guys how are you ihave a dt 175e i was just trying to find out how to redard the timeing to spec 1.8mmBTDC i under stand how to line the piston i can do that easyly i plan to use a flat piece of steel across the bore with the head removed and a feeler gauge, but what els is involved? when i did the crank seal on the left i lined the magneto base plate up with the two line marks on the uper right hand side and thought nothing more of it until i came across some thing i read in a forum recently, spinning the base plate is this how you alter the timeing if so is it just a case of lineing up the piston to spec then alinging the base plate up with the markers am i on th…

okay i picked up a xt 125 x supermoto a few days ago on an 05 plate and it was running fine yesterday i put it in the shed and next day it wouldnt idle with out the choke on or keeping the revs on 2000rpm it idles at 1000 rpm and cuts out straight away can i adjust the idle speed to fix this?? how do i get to the adjuster screw? if the jet was blocked would it still tick over with the revs a 2000? also when i turn bars fully left the neutral light goes out, why is this? anyone got a link for the manual for it? thanks for any replys

hi everyone , this is my first topic on this site , i have baught a xt 125 r 2009 brand new bike and i like it very much , very light and for a 125 performs ok , i have had to take it back with problems to the back brake making noises and sticking on !!!!!!!!!! and the time of day electronic clock running slow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is in the workshop now for checks/repairs , question , has anybody else had these problems . regards lollypop .

hi all i have an xt 125 r 2009 bike , i had a problem with the speedo/rev counter unit and it was changed under warranty , it has an oil inspect electronic timer in it that counts the milage to the next oil change . i wondered if anyone new how to reset it ready for the next oil change , when it has counted the milage down from 4000 miles it flashes on and off to tell you to change the oil and then you reset it ready for the next oil change , in the hand book there is no information on how to do it and the yamaha machanic where i baught the bike from wont tell me how to do it .

hi all i just picked up a 76 yz 125 x with the strange kyb air pods on it bike runs but needs a complete overhaul i need airbox WHY ARE THOSE ALWAYS GONE also any little bits of info you guys may have thanks

i have a 1985 mk1 dt125lc and i cannot get full throttle when you ride it and open the throttle past half it bogs down then revs then bogs then revs so you are kangarooing down the road,i have checked the carb replaced all the jets etc set the floats but it makes no difference.I am now thinking it may be the coil breaking down or the cdi or something else electrical anyone got any ideas that might pin point the problem

Hi all. For our FSAE car, which runs a Yamaha WR450 engine, we are looking into a semi-automatic shifting system. We have had that for a few years now, but it has always caused us some problems. We always shift gears without using the clutch, nor throttle blip. We know that the problems probably originate from downshifting (upshifting shouldn't be a problem) but what we don't know is if we can solve it by regulating the system better, or if it is really necessary to use the clutch while shifting down. So I was hoping to hear from some owners of WR 450 bikes or similar, whether it is possible to shift down without the clutch. Does it require a lot of power f…
