hi, i have a yamaha 550XT dual sport. Its an 82 but only has 5k on it. The other day i was driving on the interstate and i got a little to happy with the throttle i guess. I was going at a speed the bike was not so comfortable with. Anyhow, i began to feel gas leaking on my legs. I exited and quickly pulled off. The fuel line that goes into the carbs had blown off. The bike turned off once i stoped, i believe because it was flooding the carbs. So i put the fuel line back onto nipple leading into the carbs. But now when i turn the gas on a lot of fuel comes out of the fuel emission tube,(you know the tube that…

i have really bad vibration to the point where i can't drive it and the other day i took it out and the vibration stopped but now it's back again any one have any ideas?

Both of my front fork seals have failed (apparently), both seals seem to be leaking oil at an alarming rate, the thing is, this happened at about 3000 km, and it seems to have happened to all the models of the same year, I cant replace the seals myself since the dealer can't find me a repair manual therefor I have none of the information i need to replace them myself. The problem is they want to charge me 250$ to replace them, but it seems like a factory error, If its happening to every bike under 3000 km it cant just be wear and tear. Any thoughts, should I go down there and raise hell about it or should I just let it go and count my losses? If it matters the …

hi im wanting a bit more acceleration from ym dtr it does 75top speed which i really dont need id sooner have more acceleration! i have a 59/16 at the mo what do you all think is the best combo to get ruffley 65 top end? any one no where i can get some fancy looking sprockets from? cheers people!

ok yesterday my bike when getting up to about 60 feels like it goes then like holds back and it doesnt really rev past 8K i have never had a problem with it getting up to 75 and revving freely to the red line never taken it over apart from the odd accident. its hard to explain what its like but at about 58Mph it starts holding back then going then holding back whats the problem? any ideas? i thought it could be a clogged air filter so i took it out sprayed carb cleaner on it blew it out with a air line and it doesnt seem much better at all? please send ur suggestions thnx

Hi this is my first post as ive just bought what i think is a WR426 The owner advertised it as a WR426 and swares it is but on the logbook it says WR400,is there a way to tell by looking at the engine etc? Also the bike is definately an import so im hoping it is a WR426 Can anyone let me know? Many thanks

Hi all. The front forks look knackered. The chrome is quite badly chipped and I can't get a good oil seal. Are they repairable, replaceable, or can I fit some new ones? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I'm attempting to service a Yamaha XT125R. Can anyone tell me where the oil filter is on a 2005 xt125r. I think I'm loosing the plot as I can't find anything in the hand book to mention oil filter and there is nothing obvious to be seen? Also can anyone tell me how much fork oil each fork leg needs when rebuilt with new seals? Are there any manuals available for this bike? Any help would be much appreciated.

Does any one know if the DT X wheels will fit a DT RE? I know the front forks are different but would the spindle be the same?? I know the back one should fit cos its the same swing arm. TIA.

has anyone ever had this on their dt125?? mine is R reg so 1998?? ive recently started trail riding and ive been going with people on much more capable speeds so ive been going flat out on rough terrain on the dt to try and keep up. im guessing its all the bouncing around that has caused it but its the 2nd time its happed within a month. does anyone know how to cure the problem rich

Hey, I just got a TW125, so this is my first post... I've got a question about the front headlamp. Mine's a 2004 model, and came with the round style headlamp. I'm much prefer the dirtbike / enduro look, so was pretty pleased to find one looking like this. Is the square light from an older, or bigger model? Is it from another bike altogether? Any information about which parts I would need, how to do the conversion or where to get the parts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom
